Function Description

The Samsung Microwave Oven is designed for heating food and beverages. It utilizes high-frequency electromagnetic waves to cook or reheat food without altering its form or color. The energy released by microwaves causes food molecules to move rapidly, creating friction and heat. The oven can perform defrosting, instant reheating/cooking, and general cooking functions. Some models (ME83KR*-*X) also feature a Power Steam Cooking Guide for fast and healthy steam cooking of items like rice, pasta, and vegetables. The Auto Russian Cook feature provides pre-set cooking times for specific Russian dishes, while the Auto Rapid Defrost feature automatically sets defrost times and power levels for various food types.

  • Installation: Place the oven on a flat, level surface 85 cm above the floor, ensuring adequate ventilation with at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space behind and on the sides, and 20 cm (8 inches) above. The power plug must be accessible.
  • Time Setting: An inbuilt clock displays "12:00" upon power supply. Users can set the current time in either 12-hour or 24-hour notation using the Clock, h, and min buttons.
  • Cooking/Reheating:
    1. Place food on the turntable.
    2. Press the Power Level button to select the desired wattage (from LOW 100 W to HIGH 800 W). Higher power levels require decreased cooking times, and vice-versa.
    3. Set the cooking time using the 10 min, 1 min, and 10 s buttons.
    4. Press the Start button. The oven light will turn on, and the turntable will rotate.
    5. Cooking stops with four beeps. The end reminder signal will beep three times (once every minute) if not attended.
  • Adjusting Cooking Time: The +30s button can be pressed repeatedly to add 30-second increments to the cooking time.
  • Stopping Cooking:
    • To temporarily stop, open the door. Close the door and press Start to resume.
    • To stop completely, press the Stop button. Press it again to cancel settings.
  • Energy Save Mode: Press the Energy Save button to activate. The display will show the current time when ready for use. It automatically activates if no function is selected for 25 minutes during setting or temporary stop conditions. The oven lamp turns off after 5 minutes with the door open.

  • Switching the Beeper Off/On: Press the Stop and Start buttons simultaneously to toggle the beeper sound. The display will show "OFF" or "On".

    • Do NOT spill water in vents, use abrasive products, or chemical solvents.
    • Ensure door seals are clean and free of particles to ensure proper door closure.
    • Clean the microwave oven cavity right after each use with a mild detergent solution, allowing it to cool first.
    • For swing heater models, the heater can be turned downward by 45° for easier cleaning of the upper cavity.
  • Storage: If storing temporarily, choose a dry, dust-free place to prevent adverse effects on working parts.
  • Light Bulb Replacement: The light bulb should NOT be replaced by the user. Contact an authorized Samsung service center for replacement.
