Usage Features

Control Panel: The washing machine features a user-friendly control panel with a detergent dispenser, display panel, program select button, baby program button, spin selection button, option button, start/pause button, and On/Off button.

  • Detergent Dispenser: For adding detergent.
  • Display Panel: Shows current cycle and error messages. Program indicators blink during execution.
  • Program Select Button: Allows selection from six available wash programs: Cotton, Coloureds, Synthetics, Delicates, Wool, Quick, Rinse+Spin, and Spin.
  • Baby Program Button: Selects one of three available Baby programs: Cotton, Colour, or Delicate.
  • Spin Selection Button: Cycles through available spin speed options: no spin, 600, 800, 1000 rpm (for R1043) and no spin, 600, 800 rpm (for R843).
  • Option Button: Cycles through partial wash options: Prewash, Rinse, Rinse Hold. Prewash is only available with washing cotton, synthetic, or delicate.
  • Temperature Selection Button: Allows selection of water temperature (cold, 40°C, 60°C, and 95°C).
  • Start/Pause Button: To start and pause programs.
  • On/Off Button: To turn the machine on or off. If the machine is left on for longer than 10 minutes without any buttons being touched, it powers off automatically.
  • Child Lock Function: Pressing Spin+Option buttons for 2 seconds activates/deactivates the child lock, preventing unintended changes to settings.

Main Functions:

  • Auto Power S/W Off Function: Automatically switches power off if no button is pressed for 10 minutes after selecting a function, or if the course button is not re-selected.
  • Door Open Function: The door can be opened if the operating cycle is halted and no error melody is playing.
  • Rinse Hold Function: If selected, the machine does not drain water after the last rinse.
  • No Spin Function: If selected, the machine finishes after the last rinse.
  • Pre-washing Function: Allows pre-washing for cotton, coloreds, synthetics, delicates, and baby cotton. Water level/reverse time is the same as the selected course. Pre-washing takes about 15 minutes.
  • Rinse+ Function: This function practices rinse process one more time.
  • Power-out Compensation Function: In case of power outage, the machine stores current process data to EEPROM and resumes from where it left off once power is restored.
  • Fuzzy Washing Function (Weight-Sensing): Automatically adjusts water level and supplementary water supply based on the weight of the laundry.
  • Bubble-detecting Function: Detects bubbles during washing and dehydrating. If bubbles are detected, the machine performs additional rinsing and bubble-removing cycles.
  • Unbalance Detecting & Laundry Balance Positioning System: During the hydrating process and reversal rotation, the system detects unbalance and adjusts drum rotation to balance the laundry.
  • R.P.M Control: The motor enables magnetic flux generation proportional to r.p.m, controlled by the coil sensor and MICOM.

Setting Up the Wash Machine:

  • Removing Safety Device: Before use, remove 5 safety device bolts and plug the 5 holes with caps.
  • Installing on Leveled Place: Adjust the 4 adjustment legs to ensure the machine is level.
  • Door Opening Dimension: The door opens vertically, with a distance of 950mm between the door and the rear side. The maximum door angle is 130°.

Maintenance Features

Safety Devices:

  • Balancing Device (ASSY-Main PCB): Detects unbalance and adjusts the laundry load to prevent noises and vibrations.
  • Anti-over Water Supply Device: Prevents over-supply of water.
  • Temperature-regulating Device (Thermistor): Prevents over-heating by sensing the temperature of the machine and helping the wash machine to work at the temperature given by users.
  • Overheating-controlling System: Prevents overheating by cutting off power supply if the thermistor detects abnormal conditions.
  • Delicate Clothing Safeguard Function (ASSY-Main PCB): Protects delicate clothing by sensing the temperature inside the washing tub and adjusting the wash course if the temperature rises over 50°C.

Trouble Diagnosis: The manual provides a detailed trouble diagnosis section to help identify and resolve common issues.

  • Power Not Supplied: Check PCB connector, voltage, power supply plug, noise filter, transformer, and fuse.
  • Water Not Supplied: Check door open button, water supply valve, water pressure switch, and connection/operation of pressure switch.
  • Wash Does Not Start Though Water Supply is Stopped: Check pressure switch, hose bent, water level switch, and PCB.
  • Drum Does Not Rotate During Washing: Check belt, motor winding, motor protector, and PCB.
  • Drum Rotates by One Direction During Washing: Check PCB and inversion relay.
  • Drainage Problem: Check drainage hose, drain filter, pump, and PCB.
  • Dehydration Problem: Check laundry unbalance and start again.
  • Abnormal Noise During Spin: Check pulley, motor, transport safety device, and installation level.
  • Leak Breaker or Current/Leak Breaker is Down During Washing: Check leak breaker, earth connection, current of leak breaker, rated capacity, current of washing machine, and water heater.
  • Heating Not Executed: Check water heater, thermistor, and PCB.

Error Functions: The machine displays error codes (E1-E12) for various issues such as water supply, drain, water S/W, door open, unbalance, water heater, ASSY-pressure S/W, abnormal water temperature, tacho, motor triac short, and thermistor errors. Each error code has a specific cause and recommended action.

PCB Checking: Detailed flowcharts and circuit diagrams are provided for checking the power source, reset part, interrupt part, oscillator, buzzer, driving part, and motor driving part of the PCB.
