Usage Features

Temperature Control: Users can set the freezer temperature between -8°F and 8°F (-22°C and -14°C) and the fridge temperature between 34°F and 46°F (7°C and 1°C). The temperature changes by 2°F (or 1°C) with each press of the respective button.

Special Modes:

Energy Saver: This mode helps reduce power consumption. It automatically turns on when the refrigerator is powered up. Users can turn it off if condensation appears on the doors.
Power Freeze: Activated by holding the "Freezer" button for 3 seconds, this function rapidly decreases the freezer temperature, useful for quickly freezing perishable items or after the door has been left open. It automatically turns off after 72 hours.
Power Cool: Activated by holding the "Fridge" button for 3 seconds, this function rapidly decreases the refrigerator temperature, useful for quickly cooling perishable items or after the door has been left open.
Cooling Off Mode (Shop Mode): Designed for retail display, this mode keeps the fan motor and lights working but prevents the compressor from running, so the refrigerator and freezer do not get cold. It can be activated or canceled by holding the "Energy Saver" and "Power Freeze" buttons for 5 seconds.

Ice and Water Dispenser: The refrigerator offers both cubed and crushed ice, selectable via the "Ice Type" button. Water can be dispensed by pressing the "Water" button. The "Ice Off" button stops ice production, which is recommended if the ice bucket is full, to save water and energy, or if the water line is not connected. The dispenser LED lamp can be set to continuous mode or to light up only when in use.

Flex Zone: This full-width drawer has adjustable temperature control, making it suitable for various items like party trays, deli items, wines, pizzas, and beverages. Users can select from four modes:

Wine/Party Dishes: Maintains a temperature around 42°F (5°C).
Deli/Snack: Maintains a temperature around 37°F (3°C).
Cold Drink: Maintains a temperature around 33°F (1°C).
Meat/Fish: Maintains a temperature around 29°F (-1°C). It is important not to store glass bottles in the Flex Zone under "Cold Drinks" or "Meat/Fish" settings, as they may break if frozen. Leafy produce should also not be stored under the "Meat/Fish" setting.

Door Alarm: The door alarm beeps if any refrigerator door is left open for more than three minutes. This feature is pre-set to "On" and can be toggled on/off by pressing the "Alarm" button.

Child Lock: Holding the "Ice Off" button for 3 seconds locks the display panel and dispenser buttons, preventing unintended use. Pressing it again unlocks the function.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

Interior: Clean inside walls and accessories with a mild detergent and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Drawers and shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning.
Exterior: Wipe the control panel and digital display with a damp, soft cloth. The doors, handles, and cabinet surfaces should be cleaned with a mild detergent and wiped dry. Polishing the exterior once or twice a year is recommended. Avoid spraying water directly on the refrigerator or using benzene, thinner, or Clorox.
Ice/Water Dispenser: The tray dispenser can be removed and wiped with a clean, soft cloth. The ice bin/bucket should be washed with a mild detergent, rinsed well, and dried thoroughly.
Rear Side: Vacuum the rear side of the appliance once or twice a year to keep cords and exposed parts free of dust and dirt. Do not remove the back cover.
Rubber Door Seals: Keep door seals free of dust and stains by cleaning with a mild detergent and damp cloth to ensure proper closing and efficient operation.

Water Filter Replacement: The "Filter" icon lights up red when it's time to change the water filter cartridge, typically after about 300 gallons of water or 6 months. To replace, shut off the water supply, turn the filter counter-clockwise about 1/4 turn, and pull it out. Insert the new filter, push it in, and turn it clockwise until it locks. After replacement, reset the filter indicator by holding the "Alarm/hold 3 sec for Filter Reset" button for 3 seconds. It is crucial to use only Samsung brand water filters to prevent property damage.
