When to Replace•
When the green lamp on icon in the display part -
of refrigerator turns orange, it is recommended
to replace a fi lter.
If the color of lamp turns red from orange,
replace the fi lter immediately.
Purchase a water-purifying fi lter from a near -
service center for replacement.
How To Replace Water-Purifying Filter
To reduce risk of water damage to your
property DO NOT use generic brands of
water fi lers in your SAMSUNG Refrigerator.
USE ONLY SAMSUNG BRAND WATER
FILTERS.
SAMSUNG will not be legally responsible
for any damage, including, but not limited
to property damage caused by water
leakage from use of a generic water fi lter.
SAMSUNG Refrigerators are designed to
work ONLY WITH SAMSUNG Water Filter.
Separate a water-purifying fi lter.1.
Open the unit grill in the upper part of -
refrigerator, rotate the fi lter by 90° to the left
(unlock), and pull it down.
Place a bucket little bit bigger than the
fi lter to catch the dropping water when
separating the fi lter.
Put an installing date sticker on a new fi lter.2.
Unpack the fi lter box, and peel off the red -
protective cap.
Example) If installing it in October, put on ‘OCT
10’ sticker.
Fit a new fi lter in.3.
Fit the fi lter in a fi xing part, rotate it -
by 90° to the right (lock), and match
an indicating line (
) with Lock ( )
sign.
Close an unit grill, and press ice- -
maker test button to check if water
fl ows out.
It is recommended to run off water -
for about 2 minutes (or 2 liter) when
you install or replace a fi lter for the
fi rst time.
After replacing a fi lter, press button -
for 3 seconds until the color of lamp
turns green from red.
COOLSELECT ZONE
You can speed up cooling or make frozen food soft
enough to cut easily with this function.
Also, by adjusting the temperature of each
compartment, you can store customize the storage
of different kinds of food.
Function selection
When 0 Zone is selected.1.
When 0 Zone is selected, the temperature of -
the CoolSelect Zone will be set to 0°C and will
be maintained at 0°C regardless of the fridge
compartment’s temperature setting.
The temperature (0°C) of 0 Zone falls into the
0 Zone temperature range.
0 Zone temperature helps keep meat or fi sh
fresh longer.
When Quick Cool is selected.2.
With this Quick Cool function, you can cool -
down up to three bottles of room temperature
beer enough to drink within an hour.
You can put food in the CoolSelect Zone and -
press the Quick Cool button, the refrigerator will
operate for an hour continuously.
If you use Quick Cool, take out the food from -
the CoolSelect Zone and put it in the fridge
compartment during its operation.
The food could become frozen with the strong
fl ow air.
To cancel the Quick Cool function, press the -
Quick Cool button once more.
When the Quick Cool function is completed, it
goes to Cool setting.
