Evenif you have morethan 8MB of RAMinstalledin your PC,
you may experiencecommunicationserror while downloadingmultiple
imagesat once. If this is the case, we suggestthe following:
1. Downloadonly a few images at a time.
2. Save those downloaded images.
3. Then, download more images.
If an erroroccurswhitedownloading:
1. Exit the TWAIN DRIVERscreen.
2. ACQUIRE the thumbnails again.
Rememberthat the maximumnumberof imagesthat the Application
softwarecan open ata given time dependsonthe amount of free memory
available.
The Applicationsoftwarealso needsto keep some buffer memory(usuallya few
MBs),so the actualavailablememorymay be less thanwhat is displayedby the
Application.
To increasethe number of images you can downloadat a time,
you cantry excluding SMARTDRV.EXEand EMM386.EXEfrom loading your system. However,
this couldslow down yourPC's disk operationsand disable DOSaccessto upper memory.
