Sound Problem Firstof all, please perform the Sound Test to confirm that your 1_/audio is properly operating.
(go to MENU - Support : Self Diagnosis : Sound Test) (p. 3(})
Ifthe audio isOK, the sound problem may caused by the source or signal.
There is no sound or the sound is too low • Pleasecheck the volume of the device (Cabb/Sat Box, DVD, Blu-ray etc) connected to your T_
at maximumvolume.
The picture is good but there is no sound. • Set tile Speaker Select option to rv Speaker in the Sound menu (p. 25).
• Ifyou are usingan external device, make sure tile audio cables are connected to tile correct audio
input jacks on tile T_
• Ifyou are usingall external device, check tile device's audio output option (ex. you may need to
change your cable box's audio option to HDMIwhen you have a HDMI connected toyour T_.
• Ifyou are usinga DVI to HDMI cable, aseparate audio cable is required.
• Ifyour TV has a headptlone jack, make suretllere is nothing plugged into it.
• Reboot tile connected device by reconnecting tile device's power cable.
The speakers are making an inappropriate • Check cable connections. Make sure a video cable isnot connected to an audio input.
noise. • For antenna or Cable connections, check the signal strength. Low signal levelmay cause sound
distortion.
• Performthe Sound Test as explained above.
No Picture, No Video
The TV won't turn on. • Make sure the AC power cord is securelyplugged in to the wall outlet and the T_
• Make sure the wall outlet isworking.
• Try pressing the POWER button on the TV to make sure the problem isnot the remote. If the TV turns
on, referto "Remote control does not work" below.
The TV turns off automatically. • Ensurethe Sleep Timer is setto Off in the Setup menu (p. 26).
• Ifyour PC isconnected tothe T_, check your PC power settings.
• Make sure the AC power cord is pBgged in securely to the wall outlet and tile T_
• When watching TV from an antenna or cable connection, the TVwill turn off after 10 - 15 minutes if
there is no signal.
There isno picture/video. • Check cable connections (removeand reconnect all cables connected to the TV and external
devices).
• Set your external device's (Cabb/Sat Box, DVD, Blu-ray etc)video outputs to match the connections
to the TV input. For example, if an external device's output is HDMI, it stlould be connected to an
HDMIinput on the T_
• Make sure your connected devices are powered on.
• Be sure to select tile TV's correct source by pressing tile SOURCE button on tile remote control.
• Reboot the connected device by reconnecting tile device's power cable.
RF(Oabb/Antenna) Connection
The TV is not receiving all channeb. • Make sure the coaxial cable isconnected securely.
• Pleasetry Auto Program to add available channeb to the channel list. Go to MENU - Channel -
Auto Program then select Auto and make sure tile correct Cable TV signal type is set in the menu.
There are 3 options (STD, HRC and IRC)(p. 16)
• Verifythe Antenna ispositioned correctly.
No Caption on digital channeb. • Check Caption Setup menu. Try changing Caption Mode Service1 to OO1 (p.28).
• Some channeb may not have caption data.
The picture isdistorted: macro block error, • Compression of video contents may cause picture distortion, especiallywith fast moving pictures
smallblock, dots, pixelization, such as sports and action movies.
• A low signal can cause picturedistortion. This is not a TV problem.
PC Connection
A "Mode Not Supported" message • Set your PC's output resolutionso it matches the resolutions supported by the TV (p. 14).
