Safety Precautions

Road safety comes first

Do not use a hand-held phone while driving; park the vehicle first.

Switch off when refuelling

Do not use the phone at a refuelling point (service station) or near fuels or chemicals.

Switch off in aircraft

Mobile phones can cause interference. Using them on aircraft is both illegal and dangerous.

Getting Started

Installing the SIM Card and the Battery

When you subscribe to a cellular network, you are provided with a SIM card loaded with your subscription details.

Charging a Battery

Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. A travel adapter is provided with your phone.

Switching the Phone On/Off

Hold down for more than one second to switch the phone on.

Call Functions

Making a Call

When the idle screen is displayed, key in the area code and phone number and press.

Answering or Rejecting a Call

When somebody calls you, the phone rings and the phone icon in the middle of the screen flashes.

Viewing Missed Calls

If you are unable to answer a call for any reason, you can find out who was calling you.

Putting a Call on Hold

You can place the current call on hold whenever you want.

Making a Multiparty Call

A multiparty call is a network service that allows up to six people to take part simultaneously.

Calling Emergency Numbers

You can place calls to 112 or another official emergency number, even if your phone is locked.

Answering a Second Call

You can answer an incoming call while you have a call in progress.

Entering Text

Changing the Text Input Mode

When you are in a field that allows characters to be entered, you will notice the text input mode indicator.

Using the ABC Mode

Use the 2 to 9 keys to enter your text.

Using the T9 Mode

The T9 predictive text input mode allows you to enter words easily with a minimum of key presses.

Phonebook

Storing a Phone Number with a Name

As soon as you start to enter a number, Save appears above the left soft key to allow you to store.

Phonebook Options

When storing or viewing a number in the phonebook, Options appears above the left soft key.

Speed-Dialling by SIM Memory Location

Once you have stored phone numbers in the SIM card, you can dial them easily whenever required.

Searching for and Dialling a Number in the Phonebook

When the idle screen is displayed, press the PhoneBook soft key.

Write Messages

Via this menu, you can write and edit text messages of up to 160 characters.

Melody Composer

This option allows you to compose your own melody to be used as the ringing tone.

Phone Settings

Many different features of your phone can be customised to suit your preferences.

Call Diverting

This network service enables incoming calls to be rerouted to the number that you specify.

Call Barring

The call barring network service allows you to restrict your calls.

Call Waiting

This network service enables you to be informed when someone is trying to reach you during another call.

Security Settings

The Security feature enables you to restrict the use of your phone to: The people of your choice.

Organiser

Scheduler

The Scheduler helps you to keep track of reminders, calls that you need to make, meetings and birthdays.

Alarm

This option allows you to set the alarm to ring at a specific time when your phone is switched on.

Calculator

You can use the phone as a 9-digit calculator. The calculator provides the basic arithmetic functions.

To Do List

This feature allows you to: Draw up a list of tasks to be done, Assign a priority and deadline to each task.

World Time

You can use your phone to check the current time in 21 major cities around the world.

Games

Using this menu you can also enjoy popular games with the phone.

Calendar

You can view calendars for 1900 through to 2099.

WWW Services

Home

To launch the browser from the idle mode, press the key on the right side of the display.

Navigating with the WAP Browser

You can surf the Internet using either the phone keys or the WAP Browser menu.

ALS (Alternate Line Service)

The ALS feature enables two lines to be associated with one SIM card.

Bookmark

You can store the addresses of up to five Internet sites for easy access using the Bookmark feature.
