Text Messaging
Your phone supports four text modes:

T9
®
mode: This mode allows you to enter words with only
one keystroke per letter and the phone predicts the word you
want. For example, to enter run, you enter 7, 8, 6 and press
the Navigation key right to select the word, or press the 0 key
to select the word and add a space.

ABC mode: This mode allows you to enter letters by pressing
the same key until the correct letter displays. For example, to
enter run, you press 7 three times, 8 two times,
and 6 two times.

Number mode: This mode allows you to enter numbers.

Symbol mode: This mode allows you to enter symbols,
such as punctuation marks.
Tips:
When entering a message, press and hold the Pound (#) key to select
T9
®
mode or ABC mode.
To enter symbols, press and hold the Star (*) key to open the symbol
menu. Scroll to the desired symbol. Enter the number associated with
that symbol. Select OK.
