Usage Features
The boiler offers both Summer and Winter modes. In Summer mode, the device only provides domestic hot water, with the heating feature deactivated. In Winter mode, both heating and domestic hot water functions are active. The device features an On/Off and Summer/Winter position button, a Heater Button, and a Domestic Water adjustment knob for user control.
Starting the Boiler:
- Ensure electricity, water, and gas connections are properly made and supply energies are on.
- Open the energy connection.
- Turn the gas valve to the open position.
- Select Summer or Winter mode using the switch.
- Adjust temperature knobs to the desired settings.
- Warning: When starting for the first time, the device may experience ignition errors due to air in the gas pipe. In such cases, turn the On/Off switch to the off position, wait 3 seconds, and then turn it on again.
- Warning: In Summer mode, the device will not activate unless domestic water is turned on.
Daily Usage:
- Summer Mode: Indicated by a specific mark on the screen. Pump blockage protection and frost protection are active. Domestic water temperature is adjusted using the dedicated knob.
- Winter Mode: Indicated by specific signs on the screen. The mode setting button should be between "min" and "max" texts. Radiator temperature is adjusted using the heater button, and domestic water temperature is adjusted with its dedicated knob. Pump blockage protection and frost protection are active.
- Warning: When the device is off, pump blockage safety is active, but frost protection is not active.
- Warning: When the burner ignites, a specific sign is displayed on the screen.
Filling Boiler with Water:
- Water is supplied via the filling valve located at the bottom of the device (Figure 3).
- When the device is cold, the water level should be between 1-1.5 bars on the manometer (Figure 2).
- If water pressure drops to a critical level, the device automatically stops.
- Warning: To fill the device with water, it must be in heating (winter) mode. Water filling cannot be performed in domestic water (summer) mode.
Turning Off the Boiler:
- Turn the button to the off position.
- When off, pump blocking safety is active, but frost protection is not active.
- To cut off electric current completely, switch off electricity from the main fuse.
- Warning: Electrical and gas connections must remain connected for frost protection to be active. Frost protection activates when water in the device falls below 5 degrees Celsius, heating it up to 30 degrees.
Maintenance Features
To ensure smooth and efficient operation for a long time, annual maintenance by an authorized service at the beginning of each season is recommended.
- Cleaning: The outer surface of the device should be cleaned with a damp cloth only, without using any chemicals or detergents.
- Installation Check: Before connecting the device, ensure the installation is clean and free of foreign particles.
- Useful Life and Spare Parts: The useful life of combi boilers, as determined by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, is 15 years. Manufacturers undertake to keep spare parts available for this period.
- Warning: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
Installation Instructions
- Packaging Content: Boiler support styrofoam, assembly hanger equipment, user manual, warranty certificate, and service booklet.
- Location Selection: The mounting location must comply with conditions determined by TSE and authorized gas organizations.
- Mounting: Hanging equipment must be securely mounted on the wall to support the boiler's weight. The device must be mounted level.
- Clearance: Recommended clearances are 50 cm from the top, 15 cm from the sides, and 40 cm from the bottom.
- Water Connections: A filter and a ball valve must be installed at the combi's inlets.
- Mains Pressure: The mains inlet pressure should not exceed 8 bar. If network pressure is higher, a pressure reducer must be installed.
- Gas Installation: The suitability of the gas installation and the device must be checked.
- Safety Valve: The safety valve connection must be directed to the installation drainage line.
Flue Connection
- Accessories: Only manufacturer-provided accessories must be used.
- Compliance: Flue connection must comply with conditions determined by TSE and authorized gas organizations.
- Prohibited Locations: Chimney connection is not allowed in stairwells, building corridors, wells, on chimney walls, balconies, or elevator shafts.
- Key Considerations:
- If the chimney is removed from the roof, the inlet should be 1.5 m from the top of the roof and coatings.
- It should be at least 0.3 m high from the ground and in a wireframe if there is an impact risk.
- When taken out of the wall, the chimney must extend at least 18 mm outside the wall.
- Horizontally connected flue connections should be mounted downward with a 1% slope.
- If installed in attics, the chimney should be at least 40 cm above the roof and insulated with fire-resistant material.
- Maximum chimney length is 3 m, reduced by 1 m for each 90° elbow and 0.5 m for each 45° pole.
- For vertical chimney applications, roof tightness must be fully ensured. Malfunctions due to inadequate sealing are not covered by warranty.
- Warning: A fan throttle washer from the package must be used for horizontal and vertical extension flue connections. The manual provides a table for chimney size and corresponding washer (mm) for both FIJI 24 KW and FIJI 28 KW models.
Electrical Connection
- The device must be connected to a grounded energy source.
- It requires a 220 ~ 230 V monophase grounded electrical line with a 2 A V-Automat fuse.
Circuit Scheme and Room Thermostat
- For room thermostat connection, the short circuit connection on the card (Figure 12) is removed, and room thermostat cables are installed instead.
- Both simple and digital room thermostats can be connected.
- For room thermostat connections that operate all device functions, including domestic water, contact authorized service.
