Function Description
The S-CON®MINI-Z Series conveyors are designed to transport items efficiently. They come in various configurations to suit different operational needs, including standard, incline, sliding, and heat-resistant belt types. The conveyors can be configured with different drive types (standard-axial, vertical-axial), motor types (constant speed, brushless-inverter variable speed, inverter variable speed), and power sources (100V single-phase, 200V single-phase, 200V three-phase). The direction of belt travel can also be selected (normal or reverse).
Important Technical Specifications
The conveyors are available in nominal belt widths from 10cm up to 60cm and machine lengths from 0.5m up to 12.0m.
- Frame Depth: Available in 30mm and 60mm depths, affecting component names and assembly procedures.
- Motor Output: Ranges from 25W to 130W.
- Power Source Frequency: 50Hz or 60Hz.
- Reduction Gear Ratio: Specified (e.g., i=1/18).
- Belt Specifications: Standard (BG, BW), Incline (IG, IW), Special rubber for inclines (RG), Ultra anti-static (EK), Sliding (SG, SW), and Heat-resistant (HW). Colors include Green, White, Black, and Blue. Oil-resistant and antibacterial options are also available.

- Variable-speed range: General change gear ratio 1:76 (max 1:100) with RED ZONE, and max 1:66 without RED ZONE.
- Environmental conditions for brushless-inverter: Ambient temperature -10℃ to +40℃ (Avoid freezing), Relative humidity 85% max (Avoid condensation), Indoor (Avoid splash of liquids, corrosive/flammable gases, dust, etc.), 1000m or less elevation.
Usage Features
- Assembly: Detailed instructions are provided for installing stands, return rollers, and control units. For longer machines (over 3m), the conveyor is delivered in sections requiring joining of frames.
- Start-up: Instructions for both constant-speed and variable-speed types, including setting speed controls and using RUN/STOP switches.
- Belt Tensioning: Procedures for taking up belt slack using take-up knobs, with guidelines to prevent overloading the motor.
- Belt Alignment Adjustment: Critical for proper operation, adjustments are made by turning take-up knobs or adjusting head/tail pulleys and snub pulleys. Specific instructions are given for standard, roller-edge, and reversible operations.
- Direction Change: For machines with a reverse switch, sliding the switch changes direction. For machines without, electrical wiring connections in the control box must be changed.
- Optional Components: Guide rails and skirts can be installed to prevent objects from falling off and to protect the belt. Lower covers and guards are recommended for high or inclined positions. An optional braking system is available for incline use.
- Telescopic Models (SZVT): These models allow for changing machine length by sliding the telescopic frame and securing it with extension lock knobs.
- Tilt Models (SZS, SZSV, SHZS, SHZSV): These models allow for adjusting the tilt angle by loosening and retightening tilt fixing nuts.
Maintenance Features
- Regular Inspection: A detailed table outlines daily, monthly, three-monthly, and six-monthly checks for various components.
- Daily: Check belt surface for foreign substances, dislodgment from V-form grooves, and getting caught.
- Monthly: Check drive chain for slack and lubrication; sprocket for wear and damage; drive pulley and other pulleys for foreign substances.
- Three-monthly: Check geared motor for rotation malfunction, loose attachment bolts, overheat, and abnormal noise.
- Six-monthly: Check drive pulley for surface wear and rotation malfunction; pulleys and rollers for rotation malfunction, loose attachment bolts, overheat of bearings, and abnormal noise; frame, stands, and attachments for loose bolts and damages.
- Lubrication: Drive chain lubrication is recommended every 3 months or 1,000 operating hours. Instructions are provided for using lubricating oil or spray type lubricating oil.
- Troubleshooting: A comprehensive table lists common problems (e.g., conveyor not running, motor not running, belt not moving, speed issues, abnormal noise, motor damage, electric shock) along with their causes and remedies.
- Component Replacement: Instructions are provided for pulley removal (head, tail, snub, take-up) and motor replacement.
- Drive Unit Relocation: The drive unit can be moved along the frame if needed, with instructions for loosening and retightening attachment bolts and adjusting belt tension.
- Safety Warnings: Emphasizes caution during transport and assembly, the importance of earthing and leakage breakers, installing emergency stops and start alarms, keeping the conveyor dry, and avoiding explosive atmospheres. Warnings are also provided for operation, such as not touching the belt, riding on the conveyor, removing covers, overloading, or applying force to the belt.
- Environmental Considerations: Advises on avoiding strong electric fields and high-frequency interference from inverters.
