Why does the welding current reduce when welding with my SanRex Welding System?

  If the welding current reduces during welding with your SanRex Welding System, there are several potential causes. It could be due to loose welding cable connections, which you should tighten. Alternatively, the welding cable might be the wrong size or the input connections may be improper, so ensure you are using the correct size and type of cable. Another cause may be poor electrode condition, in this case replace the electrode. Finally, the welding polarity could be incorrect, so verify the output torch connections.

What to do if there is no gas flow when the torch trigger switch is depressed on my SanRex Welding System?

  If there is no gas flow when you depress the torch trigger switch on your SanRex Welding System, it could be due to several reasons. The gas hose might be cut, in which case you should replace it. Impurities in the gas passage could also be the cause; try disconnecting the gas hose from the rear of the Power Source, then raise the gas pressure to blow out any impurities. Another possibility is that the gas regulator is turned off, so ensure it is on. Lastly, the torch trigger switch lead might be disconnected, or the switch/cable could be faulty, so reconnect the lead or repair the faulty switch/cable.
