DIAL CORD STRINGING

Mount the Radio Tuner P.C.Board on the Radio Chassis and
then, the Drum to the shaft of the variable capacitor.
Tie the dial cord of length 1,050mm (effective length:
950 mm) and diameter $0.5 to the spring and hook the
spring to the illustrated position of the drum.
Engage the dial cord as illustrated in the following order.
Drum => Pulley A ==> Tuner Shaft == Pulley B ==> Pulley
C == Pulley D ==> Pulley E == Pulley F => Drum ==>
Spring.

30mm (approx.)
L Re the cord over the center.
Hook the dial cord to the spring and tie the cord where the
spring tip extends to the center between the two scratch
marks on the drum. (Spring length becomes approximately
30 mm.)
Secure the place where the spring is hooked to the drum and
the knot in the dial cord with paint or glue.
Turn the Tuning Shaft until it stops and set the pointer over
the mark on the Radio Chassis as illustrated. Then, fix the
pointer there.
Apply white lacquer to the pointer to secure.
