DIAL CORD STRINGING
Mount the Drum on the Radio Chassis as illustrated and fully
turn the shaft of the variable capacitor counterclockwise.
. Mount the Radio Tuner P.C.Board on the Radio Chassis and 6.
then, insert the shaft of the variable capacitor into the Drum.
. Tie the Dial Cord of length 1,100mm (effective length:
960mm) and diameter ¢0.5 to the Spring and hook the
Spring to the illustrated position of the drum.
. Engage the Dial Cord as illustrated in the following order.
Spring— Drum— Roller A Roller B— Tuning Shaft (3
turns)— Roller C— Roller D— Roller E— Drum— Spring

Dial Cord
Hook the Dial Cord to the Spring and tie the Cord where the
spring tip expands to the mark on the Drum as illustrated.
Secure the place where the Spring is hooked to the Drum
and knot in the dial cord with paint or glue.
Turn the Tuning Shaft counterclockwise until it stops and
then, set the Pointer on the Radio Chassis as illustrated.
Secure the Pointer with paint or glue.
