AUTO
FOCUSING
The
camcorder
will
automatically
focus
on
the
subject
in
the
center
of
the
viewfinder's
image
when
the
FOCUS
switch
is
set
to
AUTO.
This
is
the
normal
position
for
this
switch.
The
focus
indication
will
always
be
visible
in
the
viewfinder.

Manual
The
auto-focus
feature
will
not
operate
normally
in
the
following
circumstances.
Set
the
FOCUS
switch
to
MAN
and
adjust
the
focus
manually.
It
is
not
possible
to
focus
on
a
nearby
subject
and
a
distant
subject
at
the
same
time.
When
shooting
a
subject
through
glass
When
shooting
a
dark
subject.
which
has
something
visible
on
it
(e.g.
dirt,
water
drops,
etc.),
the
auto-focus
will
focus
on
the
objects
on
the
glass,
instead
of
the
desired
subject.

subjects
which
have
no
contrast
such
as
a
white
wall,
sky,

which
has

:
While
the
auto-focus
feature

operating,
do
not
try
to
turn
or
stop
the
focus
ring.

focusing
is
recommended.

camcorder
manually
when
shooting
rapidly
moving
subjects,
moving

camcorder
(rapid
panning,
tilting,
etc.),
or
when
objects
aré
passing
between
the
camcorder
and
the
subject
being
recorded.
