INSTRUCTION MANUAL
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT FOR THE
FIRST TIME.
WARNING - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to persons or property:
Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and rating as
indicated on the product identification plate.
Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children or invalids. Do not allow
children to use it as a toy.
Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product malfunctions, or is
dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for
inspection, repair or replacement.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product or flexible cord to rain,
moisture or any liquid other than those necessary for correct operation of the product.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or bench, or touch hot surface, including the stove.
Never install the unit where it could be subject to:
o Heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other products that produce heat.
o Direct sunlight.
o Excessive dust.
o Mechanical vibration or shocks.
o Lack of ventilation, such as bookcase or cabinet.
o Uneven surface.
Switch off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and
before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug - do not pull on the cord.
Caution: This product generates hot steam under pressure. To avoid possible scalds from hot water or steam,
do not remove the filter handle during water flow or coffee flow.
Allow to cool down before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
Clean the steam nozzle ONLY when the unit has been switched off and allowed to cool.
Do not place on top of any other appliances.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
WARNING! Do not operate the unit without water in the reservoir otherwise the pump would
not operate efficiently. When this occurs, turn the power off and allow the machine to cool
