This document is the user manual for the Saraily 10.1" Smart Digital Picture Frame, model DPF101-12AB/UB. It provides comprehensive instructions for setting up, using, and maintaining the device, along with important safety warnings and frequently asked questions.

Function Description

The Saraily 10.1" Smart Digital Picture Frame is designed to display digital photos and videos, allowing users to share and relive their memories. It connects to Wi-Fi, enabling seamless uploading of media via a dedicated mobile app ("Saraily" app) or external storage devices. The frame offers various display modes, multimedia functions, and customizable settings to enhance the user experience.

  • Display Size: 10.1 inches
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi (supports 2.4GHz networks only)
  • External Storage Support: USB drive, Micro SD card, SD card (Max 32GB)
  • Video Clip Limit (via app): 200MB per clip
  • Power: Requires continuous connection to a DC outlet.
  • Operating Temperature: 10 °C to 35 °C
  • Compliance: CE mark (2014/30/EU), RoHS mark (2015/863/EU), FCC mark.

Usage Features

Initial Setup:

  1. Plug in: Connect the frame to a power source; it will power on in seconds. The frame can be placed in landscape or portrait mode.
  2. Initial Settings: Configure language, Wi-Fi, nickname, city, and timezone upon first use.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. If the network is not listed, restart the router or move the frame closer.

Uploading Photos and Videos:

  • Via Saraily App:
    1. Download and install the "Saraily" app from the App Store or Google Play.
    2. Create an account and set up your profile.
    3. Pair the frame by entering a 9-digit connection code or scanning the QR code found in Settings → My Frame on the frame. The connection code/QR code refreshes every 12 hours and requires Wi-Fi connectivity to load.
    4. Upload media by selecting photos/videos from your phone's albums and choosing the frame, or by using the camera icon in the app to take new photos/videos. Captions can be added.
  • Via USB Drive/Micro SD/SD Card:
    1. Insert a compatible USB drive or SD card (max 32GB) into the frame. The frame will notify you upon successful connection.
    2. Navigate to the Photo or Video library, select USB/SD card to view stored media.
    3. Use the More icon to select desired photos/videos and copy them to the frame's internal memory.
    4. The copied media will be stored in the internal memory.

Sharing Connection Code:

  • Families and friends can connect to the frame by downloading the app, creating an account, and using the connection code provided by the frame owner. The connection code can be shared by taking a picture of it.

Key Features:

  • Pictures Slideshow:
    • Access Picture from the homepage.
    • View media from All (internal and external storage), Internal Storage (app-sent/copied media), SD Card/USB (external drive media), Folder (user-created folders), and Favorites.
    • Add pictures from SD Card/USB to Internal Storage.
    • Create and name folders within Internal Storage.
    • Add pictures to Favorites by tapping the heart icon during slideshow.
    • Customize slideshow with multi-display options.
  • Videos Slideshow: Play videos from the Video library on the homepage. Video clips shared via the app appear here.
  • Music: Play music from the Music section on the homepage.
  • Weather Forecast: Check a three-day weather forecast from the Weather section. Switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Add multiple cities.
  • Clock: Choose different clock skins from the Clock section.
  • Alarm: Set up new alarms or adjust/delete existing ones from the Alarm section.

General Settings:

  • My Frame: View connection code and manage connected users. Nickname the frame for app identification.
  • Album Settings:
    • Brightness: Adjust screen brightness.
    • Sound: Adjust media volume.
    • Touch sounds: Enable/disable touch sounds.
    • Assistive Touch: Turn on for quick navigation to the Home page and volume adjustment.
    • Language: Select system language (English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, русский, 日本語, 简体中文).
    • Slideshow: Set the inactivity time before the frame automatically displays photos.
    • Slideshow Mode: Choose Sequential or Random display.
    • Sort by: Sort pictures by time or name.
    • Caption: Display captions written for photos.
    • Date and Time: Set date and time preferences.
    • Sleep: Set auto-on/off times for the display.
    • Motion sensor: Turn on to automatically turn off the frame when the room is empty (energy saving).
    • Auto-rotate screen: Enable for automatic picture adjustment when placing the frame in portrait or landscape.
  • Notification sound: Choose to be notified of new messages with sound.
  • Wi-Fi: Manage Wi-Fi connections.
  • Help: Access a simple guide for sharing pictures.

Maintenance Features

Safety Warnings:

  • Do not install near water (min 1.50m) or in humid environments.
  • Do not remove cover/back to reduce electrical shock risk.
  • Avoid exposure to rain, water, or moisture.
  • Use indoors only, avoid dusty environments.
  • Operate between 10 °C and 35 °C.
  • Use only the provided power adapter; using others voids warranty.
  • Do not place on unstable surfaces or place heavy/sharp objects on the LCD panel.
  • Not suitable for children.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.

Troubleshooting (FAQ):

  • No sound: Check volume and ensure not in Mute mode.
  • Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure 2.4GHz network, correct password, restart router, or move frame closer.
  • Wi-Fi requirement: Wi-Fi is needed for setup, receiving new media, user requests, and software updates. It can play media without Wi-Fi after setup.
  • No files after sharing: Check if the upload process is completed.
  • Cannot play file: Confirm file format compatibility.
  • Image transitions/speed: Adjustable in the bottom column during picture display.

Factory Data Reset:

  • Access Factory data reset in settings.
  • Option 1: Delete all users and restore the device to inactive - resets device files and unbinds all users.
  • Option 2: Not choosing the option - only device files reset to default, bound users remain.
  • Confirm with OK.

  • Scan the provided QR code to activate warranty service and access support information.

  • Warranty does not cover damage from incorrect use or memory devices.
