Overview

The SATION KNX Presence Detector is designed for intelligent building applications, providing automatic load control based on human body motion and brightness levels to enhance comfort, save energy, and improve security. It is suitable for various indoor environments such as offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, corridors, warehouses, and staircases.

Function Description

The device operates as a presence detector, utilizing both PIR (Passive Infrared) and MW (Microwave) technologies to detect motion. It integrates brightness detection to intelligently control loads. Key functions include:

  • Brightness Detection: The device has a wide brightness detection range of 1 lux to 60k lux, allowing it to adapt to various lighting conditions.
  • Day/Night Function: This function can be configured independently or switched externally, enabling different behaviors based on ambient light.
  • Motion Monitoring: It supports motion monitoring with three types of output data: switching value, dimming value, and scene value, offering flexibility in controlling connected loads.
  • Operating Modes: The detector supports multiple operating modes, including manual, full-automatic, and semi-automatic. It also features a standby mode when dimming input is active.
  • Brightness Threshold: Users can set a workload brightness threshold to optimize energy consumption.
  • Motion Detector Sensitivity: The motion detector sensitivity can be adjusted from 0 to 10 levels, allowing fine-tuning based on the specific environment.
  • Workload Cycle and Idle Cycle: The device supports setting both workload and idle cycles, which helps manage energy usage efficiently.
  • Master-Slave Function: It includes a master-slave function, where the master device can provide three kinds of output data, enabling coordinated control in larger areas.
  • Brightness Value Output: The device can output brightness values, which can be sent in a circular mode at scheduled times.
  • Brightness Value Toggle: It supports toggling the changing brightness value output to a switching mode.
  • Brightness Value Correction: Brightness values can be corrected via external or internal adjustments.
  • Constant Level Light Function: This feature helps maintain a consistent light level in the controlled area.
  • Temperature Measurement: The device supports cyclic sending of measured temperature values.

Important Technical Specifications
