Trouble Shooting
Fault is enabled after the high voltage power supply is turned on
and the printer status is “Printer is ready” or “Printer is ready to
print”.
Type Cause* Solution
1. A short has occurred in the printhead
due to ink accumulation on the H.V.
electrode or high humidity environment.
Clean the printhead and dry it
thoroughly.
2. The sensitivity of high voltage power
supply needs setup again.
Adjust sensitivity set up of relay on
H.V. power supply.
3. The dual high voltage power supply is
failure.
Replace the high voltage power
supply.
4. The connection between H.V. power
supply and PDU is unusual.
Connect the connector again.
Panic Fault
5. The program voltage from the PCU, PDU
board to the HV supply has failed.
Replace the PCU or PDU board.

While the printer is power on, if the fluid level is higher than 2/3 of
the tank, ‘Ink overfilled’ fault will be displayed in the fault report
zone, and the printer will shutdown immediately (Shut off all the
solenoids). You can’t start up the printer until this fault did not
exist anymore.
Type Cause* Solution
1. Ink tank overfilled.
Discharge some ink to low down the
ink level lower than 2/3 of the tank.
2. Make-up adding solenoid leakage.
Check and clean make-up adding
solenoid, replace it if necessary.
Panic Fault
3. ISI setup is not correct.
Contact your nearest Saturn
distributor.

High Voltage Fault
Ink Overfilled Fault
Communication Fault
After the printer is power on, ECU, PCU, ICU and IOU board must
communicate with each other. If there is any of them has fault
when communicating, “Communication fault” will be displayed in
the fault report zone of the screen and the printer will shutdown
immediately (Shut off all the solenoids). You can’t start up the
printer until this fault remedy.
Type Cause* Solution
1. The connection is broken.
Check for all wirings between ECU,
PCU, ICU and IOU board.
2. The ECU, PCU, ICU or IOU board is
defective.
Replace them if necessary.
Panic Fault
3. Program disorder.
Restart the printer or update the
program to the latest version.
