This document describes the Savage Mobile Vlogging Kit, a comprehensive solution for mobile content creation. The kit includes a shotgun microphone, an LED video light, a smartphone holder, a wireless remote, and a tabletop tripod, designed to enhance video quality and ease of use for both smartphones and mirrorless/DSLR cameras.

Shotgun Microphone

Function Description: The shotgun microphone is a super cardioid, unidirectional microphone designed to capture clear audio by focusing on sound directly in front of it while minimizing ambient noise. This makes it particularly useful in noisy environments.

Power: Requires AAA battery (included)

Usage Features:

Smartphone Use:
- Plug the 3.5mm microphone plug directly into the smartphone's headphone/charge jack (if available) or use a 3.5mm to Lightning/USB-C adapter (not included).
- Push the microphone switch to the "up/cell phone icon" position.
- The smartphone should detect the microphone and begin recording.
Mirrorless/DSLR Camera, Laptops & Other Devices Use:
- Repeat the connection steps for smartphones.
- Push the microphone switch to the "down/camera icon" position.
Accessories: Includes a foam windscreen to reduce wind noise.

Maintenance Features:

Battery Replacement: Slide the battery cover on top of the microphone back, insert the included AAA battery, and replace the cover.

LED Video Light

Function Description: The LED video light provides adjustable illumination for videos, ensuring subjects are well-lit.

Technical Specifications:

Battery: Built-in rechargeable lithium battery
Brightness Settings: 3 levels (1/3, 1/2, full)
Run Time: Approximately 60 minutes at full power when fully charged (longer at lower power settings). After 60 minutes, the light gradually dims.

Usage Features:

Power On/Off: Press and hold the On/Off switch for 3 seconds to turn the light on or off.
Brightness Adjustment: Press the On/Off switch to cycle through the three brightness levels.
Mounting: Includes 3 cold shoe mounts for attaching accessories like the microphone.

Maintenance Features:

Charging: Plug the included USB cord into any USB-to-household adapter. The other end plugs into the LED video light. Full charge takes up to 2 hours.

Smartphone Holder

Function Description: The smartphone holder securely grips a smartphone, allowing it to be mounted on the tripod or other compatible accessories.

Usage Features:

Maintenance Features:

Battery Replacement: Slide the battery cover on the bottom of the remote back, insert the CR2032 button battery with the "+" sign facing up, and replace the cover by sliding the tab in, pressing down, and sliding shut.

Tabletop Tripod

Function Description: The tabletop tripod provides a stable base for mounting smartphones or cameras, and can also function as a pistol grip for handheld shooting.

Usage Features:

Modes: Can be used in "pistol grip mode" or "tripod mode."
- Pistol Grip Mode: Collapse the legs to form a pistol grip handle for stabilization during handheld video.
- Tripod Mode: Separate and unfold the two smaller tripod legs, then set on a flat surface for stability.
Adjustability: Adjustable up to 90 degrees. Press the red buttons on both sides and tilt to the desired position.
Ergonomic Design: Features an ergonomic pistol grip design for comfortable handling.
Mounting:
- Smartphone (Landscape): Thread the smartphone holder onto the top threads of the tabletop tripod by turning the knurled knob clockwise.
- Smartphone (Portrait): Thread the smartphone holder using the thread on the back of the holder. Push the red buttons on the side of the tripod and rotate the tripod platform between the two short tripod legs until the platform is perpendicular to the surface.
- Camera: Tighten the knob on the tripod to the bottom of the DSLR.

Kit Assembly and Usage Setups

Smartphone Usage Setup:

Pull tripod legs apart to open/close the tripod.
Press the red button to rotate the tripod mount.
Thread the phone holder onto the tripod base.
Extend the phone holder to fit the device, then release it to secure the phone.
Attach the LED light to the top of the phone holder with its shoe mount and tighten the knurled knob.
Attach the microphone to the LED light using its shoe mount and tighten the knurled knob.
Set the microphone switch to the "up/smartphone" position.
Plug the 3.5mm cord into the device's headphone jack (an adapter may be required for some phones, sold separately).

Mirrorless/DSLR Camera Usage Setup:

Pull tripod legs apart to open/close the tripod.
Press the red button to rotate the tripod mount.
Tighten the knob on the tripod to the bottom of the DSLR.
Slide the LED light's shoe mount onto the DSLR's mount and tighten the knurled knob.
Attach the microphone to the top of the LED light using its shoe mount and tighten the knurled knob.
Set the microphone switch to the "down/DSLR" position.
Plug the 3.5mm cord into the DSLR's audio jack.

Important Note on Microphone Connectivity: The microphone jack plugs directly into mobile phones equipped with a headphone/microphone jack. A separate adapter is required for phones without such a jack. Users should consult their phone manufacturer to determine the charge port type and required adapter (sold separately).
