      If scanning doesn't start on your ScanSnap Scanner, ensure the USB cable is correctly connected, especially checking the hub's power supply if one is in use. Disconnect and reconnect the AC adapter/cable, waiting at least 5 seconds. If the "ScanSnap Manager" icon isn't visible, start it from the [Start] menu under [Programs] - [ScanSnap Manager]. Close the "Scan and Save Settings" window before scanning.

      If your ScanSnap Scanner won't turn on, ensure the AC/USB cable and AC adapter are correctly connected. Try disconnecting and reconnecting them, waiting at least 5 seconds before reconnecting. Also, make sure the Paper chute cover is open, that Windows has completely started up, and that you press the [POWER] button on the scanner.

      If the scanning speed of your ScanSnap Scanner is slow, first check if your computer meets the system requirements. If not, go to [Scanning] - [Option...] in the "Scan and Save Settings" window, and clear the check boxes for "Allow automatic image deskew" and "Allow automatic image rotation" to increase speed. If your PC has a USB 2.0 port, connect the scanner to it.
