Android Quick Start Guide
Scan the QR code or visit the URL from your Android
device to download the OBDLink app:
The DLC is usually found on the drivers side, under
the dash.
—Can't find your DLC? Visit dlc-locator.com
—LEDs are off? Check vehicle for blown fuses.

Open 'Settings' app, and
tap 'Wireless & networks'

Download & install OBDLink app
Plug OBDLink LX into the diagnostic link
connector (DLC)
Turn ignition on
Make sure 'Bluetooth' is enabled, then
tap 'Bluetooth settings'.

The 'BT' LED will switch to a fast blink.
Press the 'Connect' button on OBDLink LX.

You must complete steps 7, 8, and 9
within 2 minutes. If you need more
time, press the button again.

Tap 'Scan for devices', and wait for
OBDLink LX to appear on the device list.

‘Power' LED will turn ON, and the 'BT' LED will start
flashing slowly.

Summary

Download and Install OBDLink App

Connect OBDLink LX to Vehicle

Plug into DLC

Connect the OBDLink LX device to the vehicle's diagnostic link connector (DLC).

Turn Ignition On

Activate the vehicle's ignition to power the OBDLink LX and observe LED status.

Press Connect Button

Press the 'Connect' button on the OBDLink LX device to initiate a fast blink.

Pair OBDLink LX via Bluetooth

Access Bluetooth Settings

Navigate to device settings, then Wireless & networks, and Bluetooth settings.

Enable and Scan for Devices

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled, then scan for available devices.

Select OBDLink LX for Pairing

Choose 'OBDLink LX' from the device list to begin the pairing process.

Confirm Pairing Passkey

Confirm the Bluetooth pairing request, noting the passkey.

Launch App and Connect

Launch OBDLink App

Open the OBDLink app and tap the 'Connect' button to establish a connection.

Connection Established

Verify connection with solid 'BT' LED and tap 'Diagnostics' to start a scan.

Optional: Download Third-Party Apps

Connect App to OBDLink LX

Configure App Settings

In the app, go to settings and select 'OBDLink LX' as the Bluetooth device.
