Modernization of any type always makes heavy demands on all concerned, and requires
a high degree of cooperation. To keep elevator downtime to a minimum, and to fulfill
customers´ expectations, it is strongly recommended that the modernization be
prepared and carried out by the original manufacturing company or installer with whom
the contract was first placed.

Documentation
When a modernization has been carried out that changes the way the installation
functions, the installation documentation must be brought up-to-date for example, if the
control system is modified, the schematic wiring diagrams must be brought up-to-date.
