CLEANING AND CARE
Remove any dirt with a damp cloth. Use only water (no cleaning products!) to clean the backpack.
Do not bleach, iron or dry clean your product. Do not use hair dryers or other heaters to dry it. Do not use solvents or toxic substances to
clean it.
Ensure that the entire product is dry before using it again to avoid the risk of icing.
WARNING: CONTAMINATION WITH FOREIGN SUBSTANCES AND IMPROPER CARE CAN SERIOUSLY COMPROMISE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF YOUR EQUIPMENT AND REDUCE ITS
PERFORMANCE.

SERVICE LIFE
It is recommended to regularly inspect your gear. If doubtful, please ask an expert or your friendly dealer. The protection it offers could be
reduced due to mechanical wear or improper use. Before use, please check the product for any damage to the straps, stitching and pads.
Dispose of the product if you notice any damage.
Your SCOTT avalanche backpack requires no maintenance but the following points have to be observed :
1- Deploy the airbag before the new season starts, or at least once a year or after the backpack has been exposed to moisture / wet wea

ther. Check its condition, allow it to dry and fold it back together again.
2- Pack the airbag away only when it is completely dry.
3- Prior to every tour, check all the points described in this user manual and inspect the condition of the system’s safety straps and faste

nings. Practice deploying the airbag so you have a feel for the amount of force you need to apply. In the event of a real avalanche, you
will then be able to deploy it correctly and intuitively.
C – DISPOSAL OF ALPRIDE E2 AIRBAG SYSTEM
This symbol indicates that your product contains a battery and/or an electronic component, and all its parts must be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner, separate from household waste. FOLLOW DISPOSAL REGULATION IN YOUR COUNTRY or your
retailer for further information or take-back program. Never use a damaged or faulty product, battery or charger.
Do not attempt to repair this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks
Electrical appliance :
• Never dispose of electrical appliance in your household waste.
• Return electrical appliance using the recycling facilities provided.
• Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details.
AA / LR6 1.5 V Batteries :
• Never dispose of batteries in your household waste.
• They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste regulations.
• The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
• Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged.
• Before disposing of the appliance it is essential to first remove the batteries.
• Return batteries using the recycling facilities provided.
• Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details.
D- HOW TO REMOVE THE DETACHABLE AIRBAG SYSTEM

1 Turn off the system, open the air bag zipper and detach the
hooks.
2 Detach the trigger handle.
3 Remove the trigger handle through the opening between the
shoulder strap and the airbag compartment.
4 Remove the compressor through the bottom of the airbag
compartment.
