Why is my Seacraft ENC II compass showing improper heading?
    • C
      cgoodAug 13, 2025
If your Seacraft GPS compass shows an incorrect heading, there might be several reasons. First, try calibrating the device as described in chapters 13.1 and 13.2. If that doesn't work, a strong external magnetic field near the device could be the cause; attempt to remove any magnetic elements from the vicinity or move the device to another location. As an additional option, the compass sensor might have been overcharged; power off the device, wait 10 seconds, connect the charger for 10 seconds, and then check the compass again. If none of these steps resolve the issue, the sensor may be defective, requiring you to return the device for service.

      Ricardo HeathAug 17, 2025
If your Seacraft GPS device isn't switching on and the display is blank, it might be due to excessive battery discharge. Try charging the battery for at least 30 minutes; the red LED should start blinking after a few minutes. If the device still doesn't respond and you suspect it's broken (e.g., flooded or charged from an improper source), factory service is needed.

    • M
      Madeline PerryAug 20, 2025
If your Seacraft GPS isn't charging fully and the battery charge level never reaches 90%, it could be due to several reasons. The battery might be broken, requiring you to return the device for service. Alternatively, the charging cable may be damaged or the connector might be dirty or rusty; try cleaning the charger connector and ensure it's not damaged. Lastly, the charging source might be too weak; try using a different charger, such as the USB port of a laptop or PC.

If your Seacraft GPS is switching on and off continuously, it could be due to a damaged internal sensor or a broken battery. Try connecting the charger for 1 minute. If this doesn't help, allow the device to fully discharge and switch off. Wait 1 hour, then try charging it again. If the issue persists, return the device for service.

What to do if Seacraft GPS depth indication is 0?
    • C
      Christopher SmithSep 1, 2025
If your Seacraft GPS depth indication is stuck at 0 and never changes, indicating an invalid depth, it suggests a defective pressure sensor. To confirm this, go to Settings / Pressure/salin. If the pressure reading is near 0, the sensor is indeed defective, and factory service is needed.

    • B
      Bobby HuntSep 9, 2025
If the external sensor is connected to your Seacraft GPS, but no speed is shown, it could be due to a sensor connector issue or the device's operation mode.
