  If your Seacraft GPS compass shows an incorrect heading, there might be several reasons. First, try calibrating the device as described in chapters 13.1 and 13.2. If that doesn't work, a strong external magnetic field near the device could be the cause; attempt to remove any magnetic elements from the vicinity or move the device to another location. As an additional option, the compass sensor might have been overcharged; power off the device, wait 10 seconds, connect the charger for 10 seconds, and then check the compass again. If none of these steps resolve the issue, the sensor may be defective, requiring you to return the device for service.
