Do you have a question about the Seaflo SFESR-16A-01 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes the SEAFLO Knapsack Electric Sprayer, an instruction manual for models SFESR-16A-01, SFESR-16B-01, SFESR-20A-01, and SFESR-20B-01. The sprayer is designed for use with most agricultural chemicals, pesticides, cleaning agents, and other solutions, but explicitly warns against caustic or corrosive solutions. Users are advised to contact SEAFLO if unsure about chemical compatibility.

Function Description:

The SEAFLO Knapsack Electric Sprayer is a portable, battery-powered device designed for spraying various liquids. It features a pump system that delivers liquid through a spray lance and nozzle, allowing for controlled application. The electric operation eliminates the need for manual pumping, reducing user fatigue. The device is equipped with a power switch and, in some models, a flow control switch for adjusting the spray output. A hand lever activates the spraying process and can be locked for continuous operation.

  • Other: Seal (EVA), Triangle Ring (Nickel-plated steel), Drain Cap (ABS), DC-socket, Power Switch, Handel Switch, Cleaning Drain (for 16L models), Stainer (for 20L models)

Usage Features:

  • Battery Operation: The sprayer is powered by a rechargeable battery. It must be fully charged before first use and after every 3 months of disuse. A fully depleted battery requires more charge time, with the charge indicator light changing from green to red (charging) and back to green (full capacity).
  • Easy Battery Replacement: The design allows for fast exchange of the battery, although specific replacement batteries require SEAFLO confirmation. Discarded batteries should be handled at a recoverable center.
  • Continuous Running Time: The 16L models offer 3 hours of continuous running, while the 20L models provide 4 hours.
  • Quick Charge Function: The sprayer includes a quick charge function for convenience.
  • Adjustable Flow Rate: Users can change nozzles and adjust the flow according to spraying requirements. It's recommended to set the flow rate before use. If the nozzle orifice is too small, causing the pump to turn on/off frequently, additional nozzles may be needed to adjust the flow.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Only individuals who fully understand the manual should operate the sprayer.
    • Always use pure water to dilute drugs to prevent clogging.
    • Avoid strong impact or hard pressure.
    • Spray downwind.
    • Never point the sprayer wand at any person or animal.
    • Do not use non-water soluble powders; only soluble powders (properly mixed) or liquid chemicals.
    • Maximum liquid temperature for spraying must not exceed 43°C (110°F).
    • Herbicide sprayers should not be used for pesticides unless thoroughly flushed and neutralized according to manufacturer instructions.
    • Always place the sprayer on a flat, level, bare ground and use the strainer when filling.
    • Wear protected clothing, eye, nose, hand, and body protection when spraying chemicals.
    • Do not store or spray flammable chemicals.
  • Power Control: Each sprayer has a power switch, and some models include a flow control switch. The hand lever activates spraying and can be locked for continuous operation to reduce operator fatigue.
  • Filling the Tank: When filling, the sprayer should be on flat ground. Both outlet and inlet strainers must be correctly installed to prevent pump and nozzle blocking. The lid should be firmly rotated clockwise once the tank is full.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning After Use:
    • Wash drug residues from the body of the sprayer.
    • Clean the pipe and nozzle.
    • Add fresh water to the tank, open the power switch, and squeeze the hand lever to clear any debris from the tank, pump, hose, and strainer.
    • Allow the pump to run until the tank is empty to ensure thorough cleaning of the pump, hose, and strainer.
    • Strictly follow chemical manufacturer's instructions for cleaning to avoid personal injury or environmental contamination.
    • When cleaning the medicine barrel, direct the spray lance in a safe direction.
  • Storage:
    • Store the sprayer in a dark, dry place, away from children.
    • In winter or cold environments, the water pump and bucket need to be kept dry to prevent cracking. All liquids must be discharged from the tank to protect the sprayer.
    • The battery needs to be promptly charged and safely stored.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting section covering common issues such as the pump not running, noise, leaks, bad mist, and frequent pump starts. Solutions include reconnecting power wires, recharging/replacing batteries, replacing switches, tightening screws, clearing debris, replacing nozzles/O-rings, reinstalling hoses, inspecting pipes, and adjusting flow rates.
  • Warranty: The sprayer comes with a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use from the date of purchase. The warranty is void if the product is improperly installed, misapplied, damaged, altered, or used with unapproved components. SEAFLO is not liable for freight damage during shipping or maintenance costs due to improper use. They reserve the right to test chemical components.
