Overview

The SealLine Skylake™ Dry Daypack 18L is a lightweight, stowable, and waterproof dry daypack designed for carrying essentials on shorter excursions such as paddling, fishing, or traveling. Its primary function is to provide confident protection for your belongings from rain, splash, and spray, thanks to its waterproof material and fully welded seam construction.

Technical Specifications and Key Features:

  • Capacity: 18 liters, making it suitable for day trips and carrying essential items.
  • Waterproofing: Constructed with lightweight waterproof material and fully welded seams. It utilizes a DrySeal™ roll-top closure system for optimal and intuitive sealing. It's important to note that while highly water-resistant, no roll-down closure pack is 100% waterproof when submerged. The pack is not suitable for protecting sensitive items like optical, electrical, or photographic equipment from submersion or impact.
  • Harness System: Features a removable harness system with lightly padded shoulder straps, ensuring comfortable carrying. The harness can be detached for travel or when using the pack as a dry bag, by unthreading and re-threading the webbing.
  • Storage and Organization:
    • Front Mesh Stash Pocket: Provides quick and easy stowing and retrieval of items on the pack's exterior.
    • Attachment Point: A dedicated point for clipping on accessories, enhancing versatility.
    • Light-Colored Interior: Designed to improve visibility and ease of identifying contents within the pack.
  • Compact Stowing: Incorporates a convenient Roll & Stow design, secured by a front pocket strap, allowing the pack to be rolled up tightly for compact storage when not in use.

Usage Features:

  • Closing and Sealing:
    1. Fold: To properly close and seal the pack, ensure both black sealing strips are wrinkle-free. Fold the top over towards the sealing strips, align them, and press together.
    2. Burp: While holding the sealing strips firmly together, push down on the pack to expel trapped air. Then, fold and roll the top tightly at least twice until the black strips are no longer visible.
    3. Clasp: Pull the ends of the closure together in the opposite direction of the fold and connect the buckle to secure the seal.
  • Rolling and Stowing:
    1. Roll: Lay the pack flat with the shoulder straps facing up. Starting from the bottom, roll the pack up tightly towards the top.
    2. Secure: Lengthen the exterior pocket clip, wrap the webbing around the rolled pack, and connect it to the buckle.
    3. Stow: Cinch down the webbing to make the pack even more compact and stowable, ideal for packing into larger luggage or storing away.
  • Printed Instructions: Roll-top instructions are conveniently printed on the pack's interior for quick reference in the field.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: After each use, the pack should be cleaned with a soapy brush and rinsed.
  • Drying: It's crucial to air dry the pack completely, both inside and out, before storing it.
  • Storage: Store the pack only when it is completely dry to prevent mildew and maintain its integrity.
  • Packing Guidelines: When packing items with hard, sharp corners, it's recommended to pad them to minimize wear on the fabric and extend the pack's life.
  • Chemical Avoidance: Keep all insect repellents and solvents from making direct contact with the dry pack. If contact occurs, wash the pack thoroughly immediately.

The SealLine Skylake™ Dry Daypack 18L comes with a limited lifetime warranty. For detailed warranty information or to initiate a repair or warranty service, customers can visit seallinegear.com/warranty or contact their product service center via phone.
