Overview

This document outlines the user manual for the Secrui Doorbell M523, a wireless doorbell system comprising a receiver and a transmitter button. The manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance, ensuring users can effectively utilize the doorbell's features.

Function Description:

The Secrui Doorbell M523 serves as a wireless notification system for homes or offices. When the transmitter button is pressed, it sends a wireless signal to the doorbell receiver, which then plays a selected chime and flashes an LED light to alert the user. This system is designed for ease of installation and use, offering a reliable way to know when someone is at your door. The doorbell receiver plugs into a standard AC electric outlet, making it simple to power on and operate. The transmitter button, powered by a built-in battery, can be placed at an entrance, allowing for flexible placement without the need for wiring.

Usage Features:

The Doorbell M523 offers several user-friendly features to enhance its functionality and adaptability:

  • Adjustable Volume: The doorbell receiver provides 4 levels of adjustable volume, allowing users to set the sound level according to their preference and environment. A short press of the volume button increases or decreases the volume. Notably, if the doorbell receiver reboots, the volume automatically resets to its maximum level.
  • Multiple Ringtones: With 32 ringtones options, users can choose a chime that suits their taste. The chime setting is managed through the tone button. A short press of this button loops through the available tones in sequence, playing the current tone. A long press changes the direction of the tone loop, providing more control over tone selection.
  • Memory Function: The doorbell system includes a memory function, which means it retains the last selected ringtone and volume setting even after being unplugged or rebooted. This eliminates the need to reconfigure settings every time the device is powered on.
  • Fixed Tone Buttons Settable: This feature allows specific tones to be assigned to individual transmitter buttons, which is particularly useful when multiple transmitter buttons are paired with one receiver. This way, users can differentiate which door or entrance a visitor is at based on the unique chime played.
  • Multi-Transmitter Support: Each doorbell receiver can work with up to 20 transmitter buttons at most. This makes the system highly scalable for larger homes or properties with multiple entrances, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Operation Instructions:

The operation of the doorbell is straightforward, primarily involving short and long presses of the control buttons:

  • Receiver Power On: To power on the receiver, simply plug it into an AC electric outlet. Upon powering on, the receiver will beep once, and its LED light will flash through each color circularly, indicating it is ready for use.
  • Chime Setting:
    • Short Press (Tone Button): Loops through tones in sequence and plays the current tone.
    • Long Press (Tone Button): Changes the direction of the tones loop.
  • Volume Adjustment:
    • Short Press (Volume Button): Increases or decreases the volume.
    • The volume will automatically turn to maximum when the doorbell receiver reboots.

Pairing Instructions:

The manual details two types of pairing methods: standard transmitter button pairing and fixed-tone transmitter button pairing, especially useful for multiple transmitters.

  • Doorbell Transmitter Button Pairing (Standard):

    1. Enter Pairing State: Long press the setting button on the doorbell receiver. The LED light will flash and beep once, indicating the receiver has entered the pairing state.
    2. Activate Transmitter: Short press the transmitter button.
    3. Exit Pairing State: Short press the setting button on the doorbell receiver. The LED light will turn off.
    4. Confirm Pairing: Short press the transmitter button again to confirm that the pairing is done and the doorbell rings.
  • Fixed-Tone Transmitter Button Pairing (for 2 or more transmitter buttons): This method allows assigning a specific tone to each transmitter.

    1. Select Tone and Enter Pairing State (Transmitter A): Short press the tone button to select a desired tone. Then, long press both the tone button and the setting button simultaneously. Do not release them until the doorbell receiver's LED light turns green and beeps.
    2. Activate Transmitter A: Short press transmitter button A.
    3. Exit Pairing State (Transmitter A): Short press the setting button. The doorbell receiver's LED light will turn off. Then, short press transmitter button A again to confirm.
    4. Select Tone and Enter Pairing State (Transmitter B): Short press the tone button to select another desired tone. Then, long press both the tone button and the setting button simultaneously. Do not release them until the doorbell receiver's LED light turns green and beeps.
    5. Activate Transmitter B: Short press transmitter button B.
    6. Exit Pairing State (Transmitter B): Short press the setting button. The doorbell receiver's LED light will turn off. Then, short press transmitter button B again to confirm.

Maintenance Features:

The manual also provides important notes and a method for deleting pairing information, which can be considered a maintenance feature for managing the device's configuration.

  • Exiting Pairing State: If the doorbell receiver is in pairing state, it will automatically exit after 20 seconds of no operation, or by a short press of any key on the doorbell receiver. This prevents the device from remaining in an open pairing mode indefinitely.
  • Delete Pairing Method: This feature allows users to clear all previously paired transmitter buttons from the receiver.
    1. Unplug Receiver: Disconnect the doorbell receiver from the power outlet.
    2. Initiate Deletion: Press and hold the setting button while plugging the doorbell receiver back into the power outlet. Continue holding the button until the doorbell receiver's LED light flashes and beeps 10 times, and then continues to beep.
    3. Confirm Deletion: Once the beeping continues after the 10 flashes, the deletion of all pairings is complete.

Attention/Safety Guidelines:

The manual includes crucial safety warnings to ensure the longevity of the device and the safety of its users:

  • Child Safety: Do not let children play with the device.
  • Environmental Exposure: Do not expose the doorbell receiver to rain, fire, excess moisture, or snow.
  • Disassembly: Do not disassemble the device.
  • Damaged Components: Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Physical Handling: Do not throw or shake the product.
