Do you have a question about the Sectoriel TCR-02T and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The TCR-02T is an electric actuator designed for motorizing ½ turn valves, providing a torque of 20 Nm. Its primary function is to control the position of the valve based on a 4-20mA or 0-10V input signal. The device features a compact construction and a plastic housing, making it suitable for motorizing small ball valves. It boasts an IP67 leak-tightness rating, allowing for indoor use and, with a shelter, outdoor installation. The actuator also supports parallel installation and includes a manual control option via a key. Parameter settings are directly configurable on the integrated screen.

Usage Features (Actuator Settings via 1.3" LCD Screen):

The actuator's settings are accessible through a menu on the 1.3" LCD screen, which displays blue text on a black background (128x64 pixels). Navigation is done using the "M" key for menu access and K2/K3 keys for value adjustments.

  1. Entering the Menu: Press the "M" button for more than 5 seconds.
  2. Enter Password: Press "M" for more than 5 seconds, then enter code "333" using K2 and K3, and press "M" again.
  3. Choice of Language: Select English or Mandarin.
  4. Choosing the Direction of Rotation:
    • Direct: 4mA = valve closed / 20mA = valve open (0V = valve closed / 10V = valve open).
    • Reversed: 4mA = valve closed / 20mA = valve open (0V = valve closed / 10V = valve open).
  5. Position by Absence of Control Signal: In the absence of a control signal, the valve can be set to ON, OFF, or KEEP.
  6. Dead Band: Sets the accuracy and sensitivity of the control. A larger band reduces accuracy but makes the system less oscillating.
    • Range: 0.1% to 9.9%. Default: 0.8%.
  7. Hysteresis Adjustment: Enables or disables hysteresis adjustment.
    • YES = adjustment possible.
    • NO = no adjustment possible (default).
  8. Hysteresis Value: If hysteresis adjustment is enabled, this sets the hysteresis value.
    • Range: 0.1% to 9.9%. Default: 0.2%. (Avoid if there is play between the valve's stem and the actuator's square).
  9. Manual Adjustment of Rotation Speed: Used to slow down the motor.
    • Range: 20% to 100%. Default: 100%.
  10. Braking Time: Increases motor stability by slowing it down before reaching the setpoint position. Not typically useful during current use.
    • Range: 0-95 ms. Default: 1 ms.
  11. Setting Maximum Speed: Affects available torque.
    • Range: 20% to 100%. Default: 100%.
  12. Setting Minimum Speed: Affects available torque.
    • Range: 20% to 95%. Default: 75%.
  13. Setting Speed for Stroke: Sets the percentage of the actuator stroke during which it slows down before reaching the setpoint.
    • Range: 0.1% to 20%. Default: 10%.
  14. Redefining 4mA or 10V Position: Sets a position other than 0% for the 4mA value, useful for valves with opening angles different from 90°.
    • Range: -50% to +80%. Default: 0.0%.
  15. Redefining 20mA Position: Sets a position other than 100% for the 20mA or 10V value, useful for valves with opening angles different from 90°.
    • Range: 20% to +220%. Default: 100.0%.
  16. Modification of 4mA Output Signal: Adjusts the 4mA output signal if a deviation is found. Increasing the number increases current, decreasing it lowers current.
    • Range: 000_A to 481_A. Default: 191_A. (Lower value should always be limited to 20mA).
  17. Modification of 20mA Output Signal: Adjusts the 20mA output signal if a deviation is found. Increasing the number increases current, decreasing it lowers current.
    • Range: 191_A to 1000_A. Default: 909_A.
  18. Response Time: Sets the response speed of the valve. Smaller values reduce sensitivity, larger values increase it. Increase if response speed is too low.
    • Range: 1x to 20x. Default: 3x.
  19. Checking the Feed Signal: The actuator periodically tests its electrical power supply. Changing this value alters the interval between tests. Not typically changed during current use.
    • Default: 100%.
  20. Power Supply Position by Default: This setting is not available on this version (T-KT).
    • Default: KEEP.
  21. Capacitor Charge: This setting is not available on this version (T-KT).
    • Default: 95%.
  22. Alarm Test (version 4-20mA): Controls whether a defect alarm is broadcast. Used for factory testing.
    • Default: ON.
  23. Exiting the Menu: Press K3 to exit the menu and return to automatic checking mode.

Maintenance Features (Troubleshooting):

The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues:

  • Inactive Actuator:
    • Cause: Non-connected electrical grid, wrong voltage, motor overheating, faulty connection, damaged start capacitor.
    • Solution: Connect to electrical grid, check actuator's voltage, check torque on valve, check connection to terminal box, contact supplier for repair.
  • No Switch Signal:
    • Cause: Faulty connection, damaged microswitch.
    • Solution: Check connections, change microswitch.
  • Valve Not Fully Closed:
    • Cause: Return signal from actuator check indicates not fully closed (do not cut power supply), increased hysteresis due to wear or play, unsuitable cable cross-section.
    • Solution: Readjust limit cams, contact supplier for repair.
  • Presence of Humidity or Water in Actuator:
    • Cause: Cable connection not leak-tight, worn sealing gaskets, loose cover screws.
    • Solution: Contact supplier for repair, dry internal parts and tighten cover screws.
