Why is the dump valve leaking on my SEI Firefighting Equipment?

A leak in the dump valve of your SEI Firefighting Equipment can occur for several reasons. It could be caused by overtightening of the cinch strap, which affects the seal. Try re-adjusting the cinch strap. Another cause could be the lack of a proper seal between the valve and the bucket shell; in this case, apply butyl rubber sealant. Creases or deterioration in the foam lips of the dump valve can also lead to leaks; attempt to work out any creases, or replace the valve if it's deteriorated. Finally, misaligned purse lines might be the culprit; adjust them accordingly.
