IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of
re, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use any handles or knobs. Parts become hot during popping.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not place cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is operated by or near children.
5. Do not leave appliance unattended while in use.
6. A popper that is plugged into an outlet should not be left unattended.
7. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning and putting on or taking off parts.
8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in re, electrical shock or injury.
10. Do not use outdoors.
11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
12. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
13. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
14. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
15. To disconnect, turn all controls to OFF then remove plug from wall outlet.
16. Check kettle for presence of foreign objects prior to use.
17. Make sure kettle is properly attached to brackets before operating and ensure that internal kettle plug is connected to outlet on top inside of
popper.
18. This popper will not shut off automatically. To avoid overheating, add corn and oil before operating.
19. DO NOT leave kettle motor running after popping has ended.
20. Extreme caution must be used when unloading popcorn. When emptying the kettle, always rotate the kettle using the handle from the
outside of the popper so that residual hot oil, hot water or hot kernels will not cause burns.
21. Keep door closed while operating popper.
22. Do not pop kernels with a dry kettle (without oil).
23. Kettle surfaces are extremely HOT and should not be touched during popping or just after use.
24. The popper pops using hot oil. Do not place shortening, butter, margarine, salts or seasonings in the kettle. Use of these will cause hazards
and damage the popper.
