Important safety information
1. Safety
• Please use the product only in its intended manner. Any other use may
result in damage of the product or its vicinity.
• Any rebuilding or modification affects product safety.
Caution: Risk of Injury!
• Never open the product or try to repair it by yourself.
• Handle the product carefully. It can be damaged by shock or a fall even
from a low height.
• Keep the product away from moisture and extreme heat.
• Never immerse the product in water or other liquids and keep it away from
splashing or dripping water and containers with liquids.
• Operate the product only with the supplied AC adapter.
• Air vents should not be blocked and must have free access to the room
ambient air for cooling
• Place the unit away from heat sources, direct sunlight or other electrical
appliances.
• Protect the device from moisture, dust, corrosive liquids and vapors.
Do not use the device in damp rooms (e.g. bathroom) or in potentially
explosive atmospheres.
• Never allow children to use electrical equipment unattended. Children may
not recognize danger correctly.
• Do not place open flame sources (e.g. lighted candles) on or near the
device.
• Connect the unit to an easily accessible power outlet.
Safety of wireless transmission
Your device contains wireless communication components. Therefore it is
important to follow the safety instructions below:
• If the unit is located near a medical electronics system, the function of the
medical equipment may be impaired.
• Keep at least 20 cm away from a heart pacemaker, as otherwise the proper
functions of the pacemaker can be affected by radio waves of the device.
• The transmitted radio waves can cause noise in hearing aids.
• Do not install the unit near flammable gases or in potentially explosive
environments (e.g. paint shop), as the transmitted radio waves may cause
an explosion or fire under certain circumstances.
• The range of the wireless connection depends on the environment and
environmental conditions and can also be severely impaired by interference
sources.
• If you send data via a wireless connection, unauthorized third parties might
be able to monitor your data.
