Note:
Remove
the
batteries
if
you
will
be
storing
the
device
or
not
using
it
for
an
extended
period
of
time.
Batteries
must
not
be
exposed
to
excessive
heat
such
as
sunlight,
fire,
etc.
The
incorrect
use
of
batteries
may
lead
to
a
electrolyte
leak
and
corrosion.
To
ensure
that
the
device
works
correctly,
proceed
according
to
the
instructions
below:
Do
not
insert
the
batteries
in
the
wrong
direction.
Do
not
charge,
heat,
open
or
short
the
batteries.
Do
not
throw
batteries
into
a
fire.
Do
not
leave
discharged
batteries
in
the
device.
Do
not
combine
various
types
of
batteries
or
new
and
old
batteries.
If
you
will
not
be
using
the
device
for
a
longer
period
of
time,
remove
the
batteries
to
prevent
potential
damage
caused
by
a
subsequent
battery
leakage.
If
the
device
is
not
working
correctly
or
its
efficiency
is
reduced,
change
all
batteries
for
new
ones.
If
electrolyte
leaks
out
from
the
batteries,
have
the
device
cleaned
by
an
authorised
service
centre.

di:
After
inserting
the
batteries
the
indicator
“AUTO
CLEANING”
(automatic
cleaning)
will
appear
and
the
countdown
of
the
automatic
cleaning
time
will
start.
Pressing
the
ON
/OFF
button
will
interrupt
the
automatic
cleaning
process.
2.
Itis
important
to
rinse
your
mouth
with
clean
water
before
use.
Do
not
smoke
or
drink
alcoholic
beverages
for
at
least
5
minutes
before
use.
3.
Press
the
START
button
for
a
short
time
to
turn
on
the
device.
The
preheat
sensor
will
be
activated.
“WAIT”
will
flash
on
the
display
for
about
9
seconds.
Then
“PH”
and
“Sta”
will
intermittently
appear
on
the
display
and
the
display
will
start
the
preheat
countdown.
4.
Insert
a
straw
or
the
blowing
tube
into
the
inlet
opening
above
the
LCD
display.
Important
Wait
until
the
preheating
process
is
completed
because
the
sensor
needs
to
heat
up.
5.
“READY”
will
appear
on
the
display
as
soon
as
the
countdown
is
complete
and
a
sound
will
be
made.
The
device
is
now
ready
for
the
test.
6.
Press
and
hold
down
the
“BLOW”
button.
The
“Blow”
indicator
will
light
up
on
the
display.
It
is
necessary
blow
into
the
tube
at
the
same
time.
The
blowing
into
the
tube
must
be
constant
and
must
last
approximately
6
seconds
until
a
sound
is
made
and
the
measured
value
appears.
-
A
measured
value
lower
than
0.2
%o
will
be
displayed
as
“LO”
(low
value).
-
A
measured
value
between
0.2
%o
-
1.5
%o
will
appear
on
the
display.
-
A
measured
value
larger
than
1.5
%o
will
cause
“HI”
(high
value)
&
“NO
DRIVING”
(Driving
forbidden)
to
appear
on
the
display.
