Function Description

The Sencor SES 7015CH is an automatic espresso maker designed for household use, capable of preparing espresso and lungo coffee, as well as dispensing hot water. It features an integrated coffee grinder with adjustable fineness settings, allowing users to customize their coffee experience. The appliance includes a 1.1-litre water tank and a 150-gram coffee bean hopper. A brewing unit is responsible for the coffee extraction process. The device is equipped with a control panel with a display that provides visual feedback through various signals and indicators for water level, coffee bean quantity, coffee grounds container status, brewing unit installation, and descaling requirements. It also includes touch buttons for On/Off, hot water dispense, espresso, and lungo coffee preparation. The pre-brew function, when enabled, moistens the ground coffee with a small amount of water before full brewing to enhance flavour extraction. The appliance also offers an automatic shut-off feature to conserve power.

Usage Features

The Sencor SES 7015CH is designed for user-friendly operation. Before first use, it requires removal of packaging, cleaning of the water tank, and rinsing of internal components with hot water. The water tank is easily filled by lifting it from the rear and can be filled up to the maximum water mark with clean, cold water. The coffee bean hopper is filled by removing its lid and pouring in roasted coffee beans. Ground or instant coffee, caramelized, or specially modified beans should not be used.

The grinding fineness can be adjusted using a regulator inside the coffee bean hopper, but only while the grinder is running to prevent damage. A coarser grind is recommended for darker coffee beans, and a finer grind for lighter ones. The appliance starts by pressing the On/Off touch button (B7). Users can place a cup, mug, or glass under the adjustable-height spout (A8). Espresso or lungo coffee can be prepared by pressing the respective touch buttons (B9 or B10). The hot water dispense button (B8) initiates the hot water dosing process. The amount of coffee or hot water dispensed can be regulated and saved in memory by pressing and holding the respective button during the extraction or dispensing process. The appliance supports three modes: ECO mode for power savings, Fast mode for quicker preparation, and Default settings. These modes can be set by pressing and holding the On/Off button (B7) for 5 seconds, then selecting the desired mode with buttons B8, B9, or B10.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the appliance's optimal operation and longevity. Everyday cleaning and maintenance involves:

Turning off and disconnecting the appliance from the power socket.
Removing and emptying the outer drip tray (A11), inner drip tray (A10), and coffee grounds container (A9), then washing them with clean water and drying thoroughly.
Removing and washing the brewing unit (A6) under running water, then drying it and reinstalling it.
Emptying the water tank (A1) if the appliance will not be used on the same day.
Cleaning the outer surface of the appliance with a lightly dampened cloth, avoiding solvents, steel wool, or abrasive cleaning agents.
The water tank (A1) should be thoroughly cleaned once a month with a soft cloth, water, and neutral kitchen detergent, then rinsed and dried.
The coffee bean hopper (A3) should only be cleaned with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel, not with water.
The appliance, power cord, and power plug must never be submerged in water or any other liquid.

Self-Clean function (Descaling):

This function is indicated by signal B5 lighting up.
It should be used regularly, at least once a month, or more frequently depending on water hardness, to remove limescale deposits and improve power efficiency.
The water tank (A1) must be filled to the maximum mark with water and a descaling agent specifically intended for espresso machines.
To start, simultaneously press and hold buttons B7 and B9 for 5 seconds, then press B9. A container with at least 1.1 litres capacity should be placed under the spout (A8).
The process involves dispensing the descaling solution, refilling the water tank with clean water once the first cycle is complete, and then running a final rinse cycle.

Manual cleaning (flushing the spout):

Recommended after each use or after extended periods of non-use.
Initiated by simultaneously pressing and holding buttons B7 and B8 for 5 seconds. A small amount of water will flow out of the spout into the drip tray (A11).

Drain internal lines:

Recommended before extended periods of non-use or transportation.
Initiated by simultaneously pressing and holding buttons B7 and B10 for 5 seconds.
The water tank (A1) must be removed to allow the internal lines to drain.
