Overview

This document serves as the user's manual for an electric blanket, model SENCOR SUB 190, providing essential information for its safe and effective operation, maintenance, and disposal.

The electric blanket is designed for household use, offering a comfortable and warm experience. It is not intended for industrial, outdoor, or medical use, nor should it be used as a cushion for pets. The blanket features a detachable control unit, which is crucial for its operation and safety. This control unit allows the user to adjust the heating level, providing flexibility based on individual comfort preferences. The blanket is designed to be unfolded and spread flat on a bed, ensuring even heat distribution and preventing damage from folding or crumpling during use.

Function Description:

The SENCOR SUB 190 electric blanket provides warmth through an integrated heating element. It operates with a control unit that offers two heating levels:

  • Level 1 (Lower Power): Indicated by a dim red light on the controller, this setting allows the blanket to reach its operating temperature within approximately 30 minutes.
  • Level 2 (Higher Power): Indicated by a bright red light on the controller, this setting allows the blanket to reach its operating temperature within approximately 60 minutes.
  • Level 0: This setting turns off the heating function.

The blanket is designed to be placed under another blanket, such as a duvet, to ensure optimal heat retention and prevent excessive heat loss. It is important to note that the user should not fall asleep while the appliance is switched on, and the control unit should always be easily accessible and not covered by other bedding.

Usage Features:

To ensure safe and effective use, several guidelines must be followed:

  • Initial Setup: Before use, the electric blanket must be fully unfolded and spread flat on the bed. The power cord and control unit should be positioned at the top section, nearer to the user's head, ensuring they are not folded or bent.
  • Power Connection: Connect the power plug to a suitable power socket, ensuring the voltage matches the product's requirements.
  • Operation: Turn on the electric blanket using the switch on the control unit and select the desired heating level (1 or 2).
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Never use the product with wet hands or feet.
    • Keep the product away from flammable materials, extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and dusty environments.
    • Do not place the blanket near heaters, open fires, or other heat sources.
    • The power cord should be positioned to avoid being stepped on, tripped over, or touching hot surfaces.
    • Do not place heavy objects on the power cord or the electric blanket itself.
    • Do not penetrate the blanket with needles or other sharp objects.
    • Avoid folding, bending, or scrunching up the blanket during operation.
    • If used on an adjustable bed, ensure the blanket is not bent and the power cord is not caught or twisted.
    • The control unit should not be covered during operation, as it may become slightly warm.
    • Do not test the blanket's temperature with your hand, as hands are less sensitive than other parts of the body, potentially leading to a misjudgment of the actual temperature.
    • Always cover the electric blanket with another blanket (e.g., a duvet) to prevent excessive heat loss and ensure sufficient heating.
    • Never leave the product switched on without supervision.
    • Always allow the product to cool down completely before storing.
    • Use extra care when the product is used near children, and always keep it out of their reach. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product.
    • Only use the supplied detachable control unit with the heating blanket.

Maintenance Features:

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and safe operation of the electric blanket:

    2. Wash by hand at a maximum temperature of 40 °C.
    3. Thoroughly rinse the blanket in lukewarm water after washing.
    4. Do not wring the blanket or spin-dry it in a drum clothes dryer.
    5. Loosely place the blanket on a clothesline and allow it to dry naturally.
  • Drying Precautions:
    • Never wash the electric blanket together with the power cord.
    • Do not use fans or other appliances for drying; allow the blanket to air dry naturally.
    • Never dry the blanket by turning it on.
  • Storage: After cleaning and ensuring the blanket is completely dry and cool, it can be stored.
  • Regular Checks: Frequently check the appliance for any signs of deterioration or damage. If any such signs appear, or if the appliance has been improperly used, it should be returned to the supplier before further use. Any repairs or adjustments should be entrusted to a specialized company/service to prevent electric shock and maintain warranty validity.
