The Gourmet by Sensiohome Double Boiling Rings is an electrical appliance designed for household cooking. It features two independent hotplates, one small and one large, to accommodate various pan sizes and provide optimum cooking flexibility. Each hotplate has its own temperature control dial, allowing for precise heat adjustment. Neon power indicators illuminate when the hotplates are in operation.
Before first use, it is essential to remove all packaging materials. The appliance should then be turned on to the highest setting for approximately 5 minutes to condition the protective coating and remove any manufacturing dust. During this initial process, a slight, harmless, and short-lived smoke may emerge. This is the only time the hotplate should be turned on without a cooking utensil.
For safe operation, always read the instructions thoroughly. The appliance must be used on a stable, level surface, close to a power socket, and out of reach of children. It should only be operated by a responsible adult. The control dials should always be turned to the "..." setting, and the appliance disconnected from the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Regular checks of the appliance and power cord are crucial; any signs of damage necessitate returning the appliance to the retailer's Customer Service Department. To disconnect, always remove the plug from the power socket, never pull by the cord.
Food should always be cooked in a pan or saucepan; direct cooking on the hotplate is not recommended. Ensure that cookware used on the boiling ring does not project beyond the ring or overhang the controls. Utensils with convex, concave, or uneven bottoms should not be used for efficient and safe cooking.
The appliance is not suitable for outdoor use and should never be immersed in water or any other liquid to prevent electrical shock. It is intended for household use only and should not be used for purposes other than its intended function. The power cord should not hang over the edge of a counter or table to prevent accidental pulling or tripping. The appliance should never be left unattended during use, especially when heating oil or fat, as this poses a fire risk. Children should not use this appliance, and close supervision is necessary when it is in use near children. The housing and boiling rings become hot during use and should not be touched to avoid injury. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if it malfunctions or is damaged in any way. It should also not be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the associated hazards. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are over 8 years old and supervised.
The provided short power supply cord is designed to reduce the risk of entanglement or tripping. Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords can be used with care. If a longer cord is used, its electrical rating should be at least as great as the appliance's rating, and it should be arranged to avoid draping over countertops where children could pull it or people could trip over it. If the appliance is earthed, the extension cord should be an earthed type 3-core cord.
The appliance must be connected to a properly earthed socket. Do not attempt to modify the plug. The supply cable can be either 2-core or 3-core. For a 2-core plug, the blue wire (neutral) connects to the terminal marked N or black, and the brown wire (live) connects to the terminal marked L or red. For a 3-core plug, the green and yellow wire (earth) connects to the terminal marked E, with the earth symbol, or green/green and yellow. The blue wire (neutral) connects to the terminal marked N or black, and the brown wire (live) connects to the terminal marked L or red. If the appliance is fitted with a BS1363/A 13 amp plug that is not suitable for your supply sockets, it must be removed and replaced with an appropriate plug. The removed plug must be disposed of immediately and not plugged into a supply socket. If the fuse needs replacement, it must be of the same rating and ASTA approved to BS1362. If a fuse in a moulded plug is replaced, the fuse cover must be refitted.
For efficient operation, cookware should have a solid, even base with a diameter of approximately 15 to 17cm and a maximum capacity of 1L for the 1000W boiling ring. Cookware with a base diameter smaller than the boiling ring's diameter should not be used. Both boiling rings can be used simultaneously, but care must be taken to prevent cookware handles from protruding over the adjacent boiling ring. The neon power indicator will turn off when the appliance reaches the selected temperature and will cycle on and off to maintain it.
Cleaning involves disconnecting the appliance from the power outlet and allowing it to cool completely. Do not immerse the appliance in any liquid or allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. The painted surface can be cleaned with a damp soft cloth. Baked-on marks can be removed with a mild kitchen cleaner or a cloth moistened with mild detergent. After cleaning, wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel and allow to dry completely. Commercially available double boiling ring cleaners are recommended to preserve the appliance's natural finish. If the power cord is damaged, it must be returned to the retailer or examined by a qualified repair technician to avoid danger.
The appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not use the unit if it appears damaged, and do not attempt to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly beyond cleaning must be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
