Maintenance
The mechanical components of the serainternall-
tersF400/700/1200adjustable can largely be tak-
en apart and replaced. The motor block is cast in
resin for electric insulation and therefore cannot be
repaired.
Replacingtherunningunit
Gently pull at the outlet nozzle to do so, thus ap-
ping the pump cover off the housing. Take the run-
ning unit out. The shaft cannot be taken out in the F
400 and F 700 models. The running unit of the
sera
internallterF1200is rmly connected to the shaft
and therefore can only be replaced entirely.
Assembly takes place in reverse order. Attention! The
rotor can abruptly turn and be drawn in when insert-
ing it into the motor block.
SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
• CAUTION: this appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance because this is not a toy. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by chil-
dren without supervision.

WARNING: turn off and disconnect all the electri-
cal equipment in the aquarium before carrying out
any maintenance tasks.
• The power cord must not be repaired or replaced.
If it is damaged, replace the entire pump unit.
•
Check the power cable and the plug for damages
before every use.
•
Please make sure the frequency and the voltage
of the mains supply equal those on the type plate
before using the unit.
• Operate unit only with an inserted fault current
protection switch (RCD or FI with a trip current of
30 mA).
• Always protect the mains plug against moisture
and bend the power cable into a drip loop as to
prevent water getting into the mains socket.
• Do not lift nor carry electric devices by their mains
cord.
•
Pump must never be operated without water.
•
The serainternallterF must only be operated
completely submersed.
• In case of damage to the housing, power cord,
or plug, the unit must be disconnected from the
mains supply immediately.
• Further operation is not permitted. Damages to the
housing or the power cord must not be repaired.
Replacement of the power cord is not permitted.
• The maximum temperature of the liquid to be
pumped must not exceed 35°C (95°F).

When following the directions for use, the adjustable
serainternalltersFwill perform reliably. We are
liable for the freedom from faults of our products for
2 years beginning with the purchase date.
We are liable for complete awlessness at delivery.
Should usual wear and tear occur by use as intended
by us, this is not considered a defect. Warranty claims
are also excluded in this case. This particularly re-
fers to the running unit (rotor with shaft). Legal claims
are of course not reduced or limited by this warranty.
