The serainternalltersF400/700/1200adjust-
able with sponge lter convince due to their com-
pact and robust construction as well as their low en-
ergy consumption and their adjustability. These F
series internallters are being offered in 3 power
levels with the sera aquarium pumps PRECISION
P 400/700/1200. The correct power level is available
for nano aquariums up to 300 l (80 US gal.) aquarium.
Due to their plain design, the serainternalltersF
400/700/1200adjustable can be placed unobtru-
sively in the aquarium. The high circulation perfor-
mance ensures constant conditions in the aquarium
and thus contributes to the stabilization of the bio-
logical system.

All electrical units located in the water must be dis-
connected from the mains/power supply before con-
ducting work at the aquarium!

Applicationandapplicationrange
First, push the bracket with the four suction cups (G)
onto the chamfered side of the housing (A). Push the
thick end of the black regulation adapter (D) onto the
water intake of the motor cover (C). Then push the
thinner end of the perforated water intake pipe (E)
into the regulation adapter. Now slide the seralter
sponge (F) over the perforated water intake pipe un-
til it touches the housing, and turn it until it is in line
with the housing. The
serainternallter Fadjust-
ableis now ready to use.
Adjustmentofpumpperformance:
Install the lter in its nal position in the aquarium.
Push the plug into the socket and check that the
pump performance meets your requirements. If it
does not, pull the plug and take the lter out of the
aquarium. Slide the lter sponge back slightly to al-
low access to the regulation adapter. To change the
pump’s performance, turn the regulation adapter to
a new direction. Then slide the lter sponge back into
position. Repeat this procedure until you have found
the optimal ow rate of the lter.

The current distributor that can be pushed onto the
outlet tube of the
serainternallterF1200adjust-
able allows to adjust the water ow direction. Using
the Venturi nozzle allows optimizing the oxygen sup-
ply of the aquarium. The air intake can be adjusted
with the valve (H).
Cleaning
When a loss of performance is noticed, remove the
lter sponge and coarsely rinse it under lukewarm
water.
To clean the impeller (B) the motor cover must be re-
moved. Carefully pull the outlet nozzle forward, which
ips the motor cover off the housing. Rinse the parts
under running water. Use a soft, clean brush to re-
move deposits or algae if necessary. Reassemble the
lter. Add benecial lter bacteria (serabionitrivec)
onto the lter sponge to immediately make the lter
biologically active again!
Location
The pump should be placed at the aquarium glass
and be operated completely submerged. Avoid the
pump drawing in air as well.
