What to do if my SereneLife Dehumidifier does not turn on?
    • M
      migueljordanAug 10, 2025
If your SereneLife Dehumidifier isn't turning on, first ensure the power cord is properly plugged into the power socket. Also, check the water tank. If it's full, drain it and reinstall it correctly. Lastly, the unit may not turn on if the ambient temperature is lower than 5°C or higher than 32°C, which is a normal operation condition.

Why is my SereneLife Dehumidifier making abnormal noises?
    • Z
      Zachary SerranoAug 15, 2025
Abnormal noise during the operation of your SereneLife Dehumidifier can be caused by a few things. First, ensure the dehumidifier is placed on a smooth, stable surface. Also, check if the air filter net is blocked and clean it if necessary. Finally, a “tittering” sound might be the normal flowing sound of the refrigerant.

Why is my SereneLife Dehumidifier not dehumidifying effectively?
    • Q
      qgarciaAug 25, 2025
If your SereneLife Dehumidifier's dehumidification function isn't working effectively, it might be due to low room temperature or humidity. In dry seasons, the dehumidification ability will naturally reduce. Also, check if the air outlet and inlet are blocked by any objects and clear them.

Overview

This document describes the SereneLife SLDEHU30 and SLDEHU50 Compact Dehumidifiers, electric dehumidifiers designed for quiet and efficient intelligent humidity control in small to medium rooms.

Function Description

The primary function of these devices is to remove moisture from the air, thereby controlling humidity levels in indoor environments. They operate by drawing in room air, cooling it below its condensation point to condense water vapor into liquid, and then heating the dehumidified air before releasing it back into the room. This process helps prevent mold growth and creates a more comfortable living space. The dehumidifiers offer various operating modes including AUTO, CONTINUOUS, and an INSIDE DRYING mode. The INSIDE DRYING mode is a specific procedure to dry the internal components of the dehumidifier, preventing mold growth within the unit itself.

Important Technical Specifications

The SereneLife SLDEHU30 and SLDEHU50 models differ primarily in their capacity and power.

  • Power Supply: Both models operate on 115V/60Hz.
  • Humidity Setting Range: Both have a humidity setting range of 30%-80%.
  • Operation Temperature: The optimal operating temperature for both is 5-32°C (41°F-89.6°F), with a relative humidity of 30%-80%. Dehumidification cannot be performed when the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F) or above 32°C (89.6°F).
  • Water Tank Capacity: Both models feature a 135oz water tank, with a total water reservoir capacity of 1 gallon (4L).
  • Product Dimension: The physical dimensions for both are 13.3" x 20.1" x 9.7" inches.

Model Specifics:

  • SLDEHU30:
    • Rated Current: 3.1A
    • Room Capacity: Up to 1500 sq.ft.
    • Effective Dehumidifying for Rooms: Up to 30 Pints and 700 Sq. ft.
    • High-Powered Power Output: 260 Watt
    • Moisture Removal: 30 pints/day (17L/day) or new DOE 24 pints/day (14 L/day).
  • SLDEHU50:
    • Rated Current: 6A
    • Room Capacity: Up to 3000 sq.ft.
    • Effective Dehumidifying for Rooms: Up to 50 Pints and 1000 Sq. ft.
    • High-Powered Power Output: 420 Watt
    • Moisture Removal: 50 pints/day (28L/day) or new DOE 35 pints/day (20 L/day).

Usage Features

The dehumidifiers are designed for user-friendly operation with several convenient features:

  • Control Panel: The top-mounted control panel includes keys for Timer, Inside Drying, Fan Speed, Humidity Setting, Mode, and On/Off. An LCD display shows room humidity, set humidity, or set time.
  • Timer Function: A 24-hour timer allows users to set ON/OFF times, adjustable in 1-hour increments.
  • Operating Modes:
    • AUTO Mode: The compressor and fan activate if room humidity is higher than or within ±5% of the set humidity. If room humidity drops 5% below the set humidity, the compressor stops, but the fan continues. The default set humidity is 50%.
    • CONTINUOUS Mode: The compressor runs continuously at high fan speed, regardless of room humidity. Fan speed can be adjusted.
    • INSIDE DRYING Mode: A 1-hour procedure to dry the dehumidifier's internal components, starting with 30 minutes at HIGH fan speed, followed by 20 minutes at LOW fan speed.
  • Fan Speed: Adjustable between HIGH and LOW in AUTO or CONTINUOUS modes.
  • Humidity Setting: Allows circular adjustment of humidity targets from 30% to 80% in 5% increments, valid only in AUTO mode.
  • Child Lock Function: Activatable by pressing and holding the Mode button for 3 seconds, disabling all other keys on the control panel.
  • Water Tank Full Indicator: When the water tank is full, an icon flashes on the LCD, the compressor, fan, and negative ion functions stop, and a buzzer sounds 10 times to alert the user to drain the tank.
  • Continuous Drainage: An option to connect a 9.0mm inner diameter drainage pipe to the back of the unit for continuous water drainage, bypassing the need to frequently empty the water tank. The external pipe should be less than 0.6 meters long and its end must be at least 10cm lower than the water outlet for proper drainage.
  • Recessed Handles: For easy portability.
  • Washable PP Filter + Replaceable HEPA Filter: For air purification.
  • Auto Shutoff: When the water tank is full.
  • Auto Error Detection: The unit displays error codes (FL, E1, E2, P1, CL, LC) for various issues such as a full water tank, sensor anomalies, defrosting state, internal drying state, or child lock activation.
  • 3 Min. Compressor Delay: A protective feature for the compressor.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of the dehumidifier:

  • Power Disconnection: Always disconnect the power supply before any maintenance or repair to prevent electric shock.
  • Long-Term Storage: If the dehumidifier will not be used for an extended period, disconnect the power supply.
  • Cleaning the Body: Do not use chemical solvents like alcohol, gasoline, or benzene. Wipe the surface with a subhumid soft cloth. For dirt, use neutral detergent.
  • Water Tank Cleaning: Regularly clean the water tank and its cover with a soft cloth dipped in cold or warm water to prevent mold growth.
  • Filter Cleaning: Clean the filter and its frame at least once every two weeks using cold or warm water. Do not use chemical solvents or hot water.
  • HEPA Filter Installation: The HEPA filter screen is installed in the filter frame to purify the air. To install, remove the rear filter frame, insert the HEPA filter, and then re-install the filter frame into the machine.
