This document is a user manual for a Servis Fridge Freezer, covering models C60185NFTG, C60185NFPT, C60185NFR, C60185NFC, and C60185NFB. It provides comprehensive information on safety, installation, usage, food storage, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Function Description:
The Servis Fridge Freezer is a domestic appliance designed for the storage of edible foodstuffs. It features "No Frost" technology, which prevents ice build-up in the freezer compartment by evenly blowing dry cold air into both the fridge and freezer compartments through a blower fan. This system cools food uniformly, preventing humidity and freezing, thus eliminating the need for manual defrosting. The appliance is intended for household use only.

Usage Features:
- Thermostat Control: The thermostat regulates the temperature in both fridge and freezer compartments, with settings from 1 to 6, where 6 provides the lowest temperature. A setting of 3-5 is recommended for normal everyday use. Turning the dial clockwise decreases temperature, and anti-clockwise increases it.
- Adjustable Feet: Two adjustable feet at the front allow for leveling the fridge freezer for stable and balanced operation.
- Internal Layout:
- Refrigerator Compartment: Includes vegetable cases for loose vegetables, adjustable glass shelves for commonly accessed foods, a wine rack, a lamp, and door shelves for butter, cheese, and smaller items. An egg holder is also provided.
- Freezer Compartment: Features a top basket for food to be frozen, and middle and bottom baskets for food that has been in the top basket for more than 24 hours. An ice cube tray is supplied.
- Initial Use: Before first use or after transportation, the appliance should be kept upright for at least 3 hours. Shelving and trays should be cleaned with warm water and sodium bicarbonate. The thermostat should be set to 4 for the first 24 hours. A 5-minute built-in delay function protects the compressor when power is applied.
- Food Storage Guidance:
- Food should be covered or packaged to prevent drying out and odor transfer.
- Fruits and vegetables should be stored loose in their designated containers.
- Potatoes, onions, and garlic should not be stored in the refrigerator.
- Warm or hot food should be cooled before storing to reduce power consumption.
- Space should be maintained between food items for proper cold air circulation.
- Specific storage durations and locations are recommended for various food types (e.g., fruits/vegetables for 1 week in the vegetable holder, beef steak for 6-10 months in the freezer).
- Freezer Compartment Use: Designed for long-term food storage and ice making. Fresh food should be frozen as quickly as possible, ideally placed in the upper tray for 24 hours before moving. The maximum freezing capacity should not be exceeded.
- Power Disruption: In case of a power cut, the freezer compartment can preserve frozen food for approximately 13 hours at an ambient temperature of 25°C. The appliance will not operate for 4-5 minutes after power is re-applied to allow the cooling system to balance.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning:
- Always disconnect from the mains power supply before cleaning.
- Do not pour water directly onto the fridge freezer.
- Use a warm, soapy cloth or sponge to wipe interior and exterior surfaces.
- Shelves and drawers can be removed and cleaned with soapy water (not in a washing machine or dishwasher).
- The condenser at the back should be cleaned at least once a year with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
- Avoid using solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaning agents as they can damage plastic surfaces.
- Vaporisation Container Cleaning: The vaporisation container, located at the rear, collects water from automatic defrosting. It should be cleaned at regular intervals to prevent odors. This involves unscrewing two screws, removing the container, cleaning it with warm soapy water, drying, and re-fitting.
- Lamp Bulb Replacement:
- Ensure the appliance is turned off and unplugged.
- Apply light pressure to the sides of the light cover and pull downwards to remove.
- Unscrew the bulb by turning it clockwise.
- Replace with a 15 Watt bulb.
- Re-fit the light cover by pushing it upwards until it clicks into position.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table of common faults, possible causes, and solutions, such as checking power supply, adjusting thermostat settings, ensuring doors close properly, and checking for obstructions. For issues not covered, users are advised to contact the Servis helpdesk.
- Warranty: Servis provides a guarantee covering electrical or mechanical faults. Registration is required for prompt service. The guarantee covers parts, labor, and call-out charges for covered component failures but excludes accidental damage, commercial use, incorrect installation, deliberate damage/neglect, and repairs to cosmetic parts. The guarantee is not transferable and requires the original purchase receipt.
- Disposal: The product and its packaging are recyclable. Users are advised to consult their local council for proper disposal. When scrapping the appliance, the electrical supply cable should be cut, the plug destroyed, and the door catch disabled to prevent children from becoming trapped.
