On/Off button
The On/Off button is used to switch
between the three settings 0-I-AUTO:
0 - The appliance is switched off. No
indicator light is on.
I - The appliance is switched on.
The red main indicator light
comes on.
AUTO - The appliance automatically
switches on at the pre-
programmed time (Timer). The
blue indicator light AUTO comes
on.
Making coffee
1. Fillingwithwater:
Openthewatercontainerandllitwiththe
desired quantity of water, then close the lid.
2. Preparingthejug:
Replace the lid on the jug, and then place
it in the appliance. If correctly inserted, the
lid will disable the drip-stop mechanism in
thelterholderduringthebrewingcycle.
3. Insertingthepaperlter:
Opentheswing-outltersidewaysand
insert a size-4paperlterintothelter
holder,rstfoldingdowntheperforated
sidesofthelter.
4. Fillingwithgroundcoffee:
For each regular-sized cup (125 ml), a
measure of about 6 g (= 1½ - 2 teaspoons)
ofmediumornelygroundcoffeewill
berequired.Closetheswing-outlter
afterwards.
5. Connectingtheappliance:
Insert the power plug.
6. Startingthebrewingcycle:
Press the On/Off button once to turn on
the coffee maker. The red indicator light
comes on.
If the brewing cycle is to be started with
a delayed timer setting, press the PROG
button twice to verify that the timer has
been set to the desired time. Now press
the On/Off button twice. The blue indicator
light AUTO comes on. The coffee maker
automatically switches on at the pre-
programmed time.
7. Removingthejug:
Wait until all the water has passed through;
the jug can now be removed.
8. Keepingthecoffeewarm:
The coffee may be kept warm in the jug by
leaving it standing on the hot-plate, which
remains hot for about 35 minutes after
brewing is complete.
9. Interruptingthebrewing/keeping-
warmcycle:
To interrupt the brewing cycle, or if the
keeping-warm function is not needed,
press the On/Off button
twice to turn the
appliance off.
