Short-term operation
The appliance is designed to process
average domestic quantities of food; it
can be operated without interruption for
a maximum of 3 minutes, after which it
should be allowed to cool down to room
temperature.
Safety switch
A special safety switch in the motor unit
ensures that the appliance cannot be
activated unless a blender jug has been
properly fi tted; otherwise, the motor will not
start when the jug is pushed down.
Operation
∙ Cut the ingredients into cubes of about 15
mm and put them into the blender jug.
∙ For best results, the following sequence
should be observed when putting the
ingredients into the jug:
1. liquids
2. fresh ingredients
3. frozen ingredients
4. yoghurt/ice-cream
∙ The jug has a maximum capacity of 600
ml.
∙ Screw the blade unit clockwise onto the
blender jug.
∙ Connect the appliance to the mains.
∙ Turn the jug upside down and fi t it to the
motor unit in such a way that the triangle
symbol on the blade unit is aligned with
the centre arrow mark on the motor unit.
∙ Pushing down on the jug activates the
pulse function; the motor runs until the
jug is released again.
∙ If the jug is pushed down and turned
clockwise to lock, the motor runs
continuously. To switch off, turn the jug
anti-clockwise to unlock and remove.
∙ Caution: Do not operate the appliance
when the blender jug is empty. Do not
fi ll it with dry items only, such as nuts,
almonds etc.
∙ If some residue sticks to the jug’s
sidewalls, remove the jug, shake it and let
it run through another brief pulse cycle.
∙ Remove the plug from the wall socket
after use. Wait until the motor has come
to a complete standstill before removing
the blender jug and unscrewing the blade
unit.
∙ Close the blender jug with the lid.
Cleaning and care
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall
socket before cleaning the appliance.
∙ To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the motor unit or power cord
in water, and do not immerse them. The
motor unit may be wiped with a slightly
damp, lint-free cloth.
∙ Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning
solutions or hard brushes for cleaning,
and do not clean in a dishwasher.
∙ The blender jugs and blade unit can be
cleaned in warm, soapy water.
∙ To clean after use, the jug can also
be fi lled with approximately 400 ml
warm water and a mild detergent. Let
the appliance run for a short period
as described in the section Operation.
Remove the jug and shake if necessary.
Then rinse the jug and blade unit with
fresh water. All parts must me thoroughly
dried afterwards.
∙ The lids can be cleaned in warm, soapy
water.
∙ Do not put any parts in a dishwasher.
