Overview

The device is a ShadeLogic™ Quick Clamp Canopy Tilt-Mount™ Table Top Pop Up Assembly. It is designed to provide temporary shelter and is not recommended as a permanent structure.

Function Description:

The Quick Clamp Canopy offers protection from sun, light rain, tree sap, animal/bird excrement, and light snow. It is designed to be easily attached to most tables or bleachers up to 10 feet wide. The canopy features a tilt-mount mechanism for adjusting the angle of the base and a pop-pin system for adjusting the height, allowing users to customize its position for optimal shade and coverage. The frame is designed for quick assembly and disassembly, making it portable and easy to store in its included carry bag.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 7'4" x 10'
  • Model Number: 14553
  • Compatibility: Fits any table up to 10 feet wide. Compatible with tables or bleachers made of wood, hard resin plastic, aluminum, steel, or thick pressboard. Not suitable for glass top tables, light small tables, or breakable surfaces.
  • Flammability: The tent fabric meets the flammability requirements of CPAI-84 but is not fireproof. It may burn if left in continuous contact with any flame source. Application of foreign substances to the fabric may render its flame-resistant properties ineffective.
  • Warranty: Full limited warranty against defects in workmanship. A 1-year warranty covers the fabric, end panels, and framework.

Usage Features:

  • Quick Clamp Brackets (Part # 802788): Two brackets attach to the table, one on each side, providing a secure base for the canopy.
  • Frame Uprights (Part # 802786): Two upright assemblies insert into the quick clamp brackets, forming the vertical support for the canopy.
  • Cross Rail Assemblies (Part # 802787): Three cross rails connect the uprights, creating the horizontal structure of the canopy frame.
  • Cover (Part # 802789): The fabric cover is pulled over the frame and secured using corner hook & loop fasteners, ensuring a tight fit.
  • Tilt-Mount Mechanism: Allows for easy adjustment of the canopy's angle. Users lift a handle to release the upright, move it to the desired position, and push the handle down to lock it in place. Caution: Do not force the handle.
  • Height Adjustment: A pop-pin system enables users to slide the uprights to adjust the canopy's height to their desired position.
  • Portability: The canopy is designed for quick collapse and storage, making it suitable for temporary use and easy transport. It comes with a Carry Bag (Part # 802585) for convenient storage.
  • Assembly: Recommended for 2+ individuals, with an approximate assembly time of 15 minutes.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Accumulated rainwater, snow, or ice should be immediately removed from the roof structure using a broom, mop, or other soft-sided instrument. Do not use bleach or harsh abrasive products to clean the fabric cover. The cover can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. Avoid using hard-edged tools or instruments like rakes or shovels as this could puncture the cover.
  • Storage: In anticipation of strong winds or severe weather, it is recommended to collapse the frame, remove the cover, and store the unit to prevent damage.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Location: Choose a location carefully, away from electrical wires, overhead utility lines, tree branches, or other structures. Do not install near roof lines or other structures that could shed snow, ice, or excessive runoff onto the canopy. Do not hang objects from the roof.
    • Fire Hazard: Keep all flame and heat sources (including grills, fire pits, deep fryers, smokers, or lanterns) away from the tent fabric. Do not smoke or store flammable liquids (gasoline, kerosene, propane, etc.) in or around the canopy.
    • Anchoring: Proper anchoring of the frame is the responsibility of the consumer. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by the canopy flying away due to insecure anchoring.
    • Temporary Use: This is a temporary structure and is not recommended for permanent installation.
