  If your Shark iron isn't steaming, there could be several reasons. First, check if the water tank is empty or the water level is very low and add water if needed. Ensure that the fabric/temperature setting and the variable steam control are correctly set. For maximum steam, set the steam control to “MAX” and the temperature to “•••.” Always allow the iron to reach the selected temperature with the variable steam control at “0.” To increase steam, turn the temperature dial to a higher setting and the steam control to “MAX.” If the settings are correct and there's still no steam, gently move the iron left or right a few times or try moving the Steam Control Dial from “0” to “Max” a few times.

  If water droplets are coming from the steam vents of your Shark iron, it could be due to a few reasons. Check if the Variable Steam Control Dial is set to the “self clean” position and align the dial to the "0" to "Max" steam setting. Also, ensure the iron is hot enough by setting the temperature to the “MAX” position. Always allow the iron sufficient time to heat up before activating the variable steam control. Avoid overuse of the steam burst feature and allow more time between each burst.

Why does my new Shark GI468CN 10 emit an odor?

  It is normal for a new Shark iron to emit an odor or small particles. Follow the instructions for first-time use and allow the iron to steam through 2-3 fillings. Occasionally press the steam burst button to eliminate small white particles.
