DO NOT USE ON STAINLESS PINCH CLAMPS OR
STAINLESS STEEL SLEEVES. THIS TOOL WILL CUT
COPPER CRIMP RINGS ONLY. CAUTION: WEAR SAFETY
GLASSES DURING TOOL USE TO PREVENT EYE INJURY
1. Cut tubing close to end of tting with PEX tubing cutter or
other method being careful not to damage tting.
2. Insert the ring removal tool anvil into the end of the tting.
Center the cutting blade over the copper crimp ring.
3. Close tool to cut ring. A gap is designed into the tool to
prevent damage to the barbs of the tting.
4. Open tool and position it in an area directly opposite ohe
initial cut.
5. Close tool to impact copper ring causing it to buttery.
Remove the copper ring from the PEX tubing.
6. If unable to remove tting from PEX tubing, insert the anvil
into the tting and score the tubing in six equal locations
along the outside of the PEX tubing. This will cause the PEX
tubing to expand and allow removal of the tting.
7. Inspect the tting for any marks on the barbs or deformation
of the inside diameter of the tting. If marks or deformations
are observed, discard the tting.
Warranty
When properly maintained and used as intended, the PEX
Crimp Ring Removal Tool is warranted against materials and
manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year from date of
purchase. This Warranty does not cover defects or damage
arising from improper installation, lack of or improper
maintenance, improper storage or handling, ordinary wear
and tear, misuse, abuse of accident of use with unauthorized
products of parts. Liability is limited to repair or replacement
of product of component parts which are determined
defective as covered by this Warranty.
PEX Crimp Ring Removal Tool

This tool will remove copper crimp rings and allow reuse of the fitting. It is eective on brass and plastic fittings.

Cut Tubing to Fitting

Score Tubing for Removal

If ring removal fails, score the PEX tubing in six locations to expand and aid removal.

Inspect Fitting for Damage

Examine the fitting for marks or deformation on barbs or inside diameter. Discard if damaged.
