Please be sure to read the enclosed Shark® Owner’s Guide prior to using your unit.
Insert wand into
motorized floor nozzle.
Press top dust
cup release latch
to access dust
screen and remove
built-up debris
asrequired.
Use a coin to
open the 3 locks
on the bottom of
the floornozzle.
Remove any string,
carpet fibers, or
hair that may be
wrapped around
the brushroll.
When finished,
shut the lid, then
close the 3 locks.
Lift the hinged
lid to access
brushrolls.
Pre-Motor (foam and felt):
With the dust cup removed, take out the foam and felt
filters and rinse them with water.
Post-Motor (HEPA):
To access the HEPA filter, reach under the grill and pull the
latch to remove the grill. Remove and rinse the HEPA filter.
Place pod onto wand and
slide down to connect.
Connect hose to back of
pod, pressing until it clicks
into place. Store accessories
on the posts on the pod.
Insert handle into wand.

Empty dust cup after each use
TIP:
Wash filters every
3 months to keep
the suction strong.
Rinse filters with
water only and allow
them to air-dry
completely. Tap loose
dirt from foam filters
as needed between
washes.

Cleaning Filters
Pull up on
dust cup
release latch
and lift dust
cup o pod.
Hold dust cup over a
trash bin and press the
empty-release latch
on the bottom.

Vacuum Assembly

Connect Wand to Floor Nozzle

Insert the wand into the motorized floor nozzle until it clicks securely into place.

Connect Handle to Wand

Insert the handle into the wand until it clicks, completing the main wand assembly.

Place the pod onto the wand, slide down to connect, and attach the hose to the pod.

Store accessories on the designated posts on the vacuum pod.

Vacuum Maintenance

Dust Cup Emptying and Cleaning

Empty the dust cup after each use and clean the dust screen by accessing it via the top release latch.

Filter Cleaning Procedure

Wash foam, felt, and HEPA filters every 3 months with water only and allow to air dry completely.

Brushroll Maintenance

Use a coin to open brushroll locks, lift lid, remove debris, and close lid and locks.

Floor-to-Ceiling Cleaning Modes

Floor Cleaning Operation

Plug in the vacuum, step on the nozzle, tilt back, and select floor setting for cleaning.

Powered Lift-Away Mode

Press Lift-Away button to detach pod for cleaning hard-to-reach floor areas.

Above-Floor Cleaning

Detach handle or wand from nozzle to clean above-floor areas with specialized accessories.
