NORMAL CALCULATIONS
TURNING THE POWER ON ~
To turn the power on press the red ~ key. To turn the power off press the (òF~
key. Sharp calculator has the A.P.O. (Automatic Power OFF) . lf the calculator is
turned on in errar, or no calculation is performed, the calculator will turn itself off
alter about 1 O minutes, saving battery power . To turn the E L-506P back on press
the ~ key.
EL-506P can designate the decimai places of an answer. To floating decimai system
in this chapter, depress the ~ , ~:: , and GJ keys. (Details, see "Decimai
Pla ces")
CLEARING

An incorrectly entered number can be replaced as long as the number has not already
been followed by a "function key ." Pressing the clear entry key will clear the latest
ent ry while retaining all previous entries.
