  • Safety Checks: Before activating the magnetron or other microwave source, safety checks are required, including interlock operation, proper door closing, seal integrity, and damage assessment.
  • Microwave Emission Check: A microwave emission check is mandatory before and after servicing to ensure compliance with Federal Performance Standards. If emissions exceed 4mW/cm², Sharp Electronics Corporation must be contacted.
  • High Voltage Capacitor Discharge: Service personnel are warned to discharge the high voltage capacitor by waiting 60 seconds after power disconnection before touching internal components.
  • Lead-Free Solder: The "Main PWB" uses lead-free solder (Sn-Ag-Cu), indicated by an "LF" symbol. Only lead-free solder should be used for repairs, and specific soldering techniques are recommended due to its higher melting point and poorer wettability.
  • Disassembly Procedures: Detailed steps are provided for disassembling various components, including the control panel, oven/microwave drawer, cooktop, oven door, bake and broil elements, thermistor, blower motor, lock motor, convection motor/impeller blade, and cooktop radiant heaters/hot surface indicators.
