Why does my Sharpe Paint Sprayer produce a heavy pattern or orange peel?
    • A
      Andre Obrien PhDAug 1, 2025
If your Sharpe Paint Sprayer produces a heavy pattern or orange peel, it could be due to several reasons. First, the fluid pressure might be too high for the material's viscosity, in which case you should reduce the air pressure. Alternatively, the air pressure could be too low, so increase the fluid pressure. Finally, ensure you're holding the gun about 6-8 inches (150-200 mm) from the surface.

      Justin ElliottAug 9, 2025
If your Sharpe Paint Sprayer will not spray, there are a few potential causes. First, check if the cup is not tight and tighten it. Next, check if the cup or fluid supply is empty and fill it. Lastly, make sure the fluid adjustment knob is not turned too far clockwise; adjust the knob counterclockwise.

How to fix a split pattern with my Sharpe Cobalt HVLP?
    • M
      monica24Aug 16, 2025
If your Sharpe Paint Sprayer is producing a split pattern, it might be because the pressure is too high for the viscosity of the material you're spraying. To fix this: reduce the air pressure; increase the material viscosity; correct the pattern by narrowing the fan size using the spray width adjustment knob.

What causes a heavy top or bottom pattern with my Sharpe Cobalt HVLP?
    • A
      Antonio SinghAug 25, 2025
If your Sharpe Paint Sprayer has a wrong heavy top or bottom pattern, the issue might be a dirty or damaged air cap or fluid nozzle. Try rotating the air cap 180°. If the pattern follows the air cap, the problem is in the air cap. Clean and inspect it. If the pattern is not corrected, replace the air cap. If the pattern does not follow the air cap, the problem is with the fluid nozzle. Clean and inspect the nozzle. If the pattern is still not corrected, replace the nozzle.
