  If your Shindaiwa Lawn and Garden Equipment engine doesn't start, there are several potential causes and solutions: * Ensure the ignition switch is in the "I" (ON) position. * If the spark plug is loose, tighten it and re-test. * If the spark plug is fouled or improperly gapped, clean and re-gap it to 0.6-0.7mm, then re-start. * If the spark plug is damaged or the wrong size, replace it with an NGK BMR6A. * If the plug is wet, crank the engine with the plug removed, replace the plug, and re-start. * Refill with clean fresh unleaded gasoline with a pump octane of 87 or higher, mixed with Premium 2-cycle mixing oil at a 50:1 gasoline/oil ratio if the fuel is incorrect, stale, or contaminated. * Replace the fuel filter or vent as required if it is clogged.
