ons completely.
Target group for the instrucons
The operang instrucons are intended for use by end users.
The assembly instrucons are intended for use by specialists only. All work de-
scribed in this document is to be performed only by experienced professionals with
training and pracce in the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of electro-
mechanical components and mul-point locks.
Intended use
The GENIUS 2.2 PANIC enables motorised locking and unlocking of the mul-point
lock can be used as a panic lock in accordance with EN 1125 (version EP or PE) or
also as an emergency exit lock in accordance with EN 179 (version EP or EE). GENIUS
2.2. PANIC is suitable for installaon in mber, aluminium and steel entrance doors.
The GENIUS 2.2 PANIC may only be used
with a non-restricve cylinder in accordance with DIN 18252 and the designaon
„FZG“
in a technically sound condion
in conjuncon with KFV products and accessories
Improper use
GENIUS 2.2 PANIC must not be used in doors for wet rooms or rooms in which the
air contains aggressive or corrosive components.
The GENIUS 2.2 PANIC and the mul-point lock must not be interfered with and/or
modied.

WARNING
Risk of fatal injury from electric shock and short circuit
Wrong connecon of the GENIUS 2.2 PANIC
Establish an all-pole safety isolaon when roung the network connecon
cable on site.
All work on the 230 V AC mains power supply must be carried out in compli-
ance with the current German VDE regulaons (e.g., VDE 0100) and any rele-
vant country-specic requirements.
If energy-carrying cables are routed in parallel to data cables (ISDN, DSL,
etc.), this could lead to interference e.g. in the speed of the data transmis-
sion.
Only use the shielded KFV cable.
Observe all relevant, safety-related informaon contained in the assembly
instrucons, especially in the "Safety" chapter.
